Sluggish Off the Line Acceleration Model 3?

I do zero track stuff and I wouldn’t expect the same performance as a Performance model. But I find it accelerates rather nicely from a stop and on the freeway, never had an issue passing...how do you define “sluggish”?

It's all relative... Try doing a 0-60 launch in a P3D, and then try the same launch with a RWD 3. The latter feels painfully slow in comparison.

That makes perfect sense- all of them are sluggish if compared to a NASCAR. The OP used “sluggish” as if he couldn’t pass trucks on the freeway...I wanted to understand the reference point, thx.

Don't regret it for a second. The RWD is a fantastic car. It's a blast to drive and the range/efficiency is unreal. We have a P3D and a RWD and they're both awesome for different reasons. It's too bad I can't swap the free supercharging from the P3D to the RWD because the latter is the better choice for road trips because it's so efficient.

I love my car but would 100% have ordered AWD or P if they were available back in January. But I wouldn't trade the last ~9 months of driving.

I only was able to test drive the RWD, and it felt sluggish from 0-30mph...
It is definitely relative...
Really wish I could have taken an AWD for a test drive...

I drove one for a couple of days, and I agree. In fact, the owner from whom I rented it has a Model S, also. He said the 3 was very quick off the line.

Our Model 3 RWD beat our Model X 75D right off the line, the X quickly caught up and then smoked the 3, but not right at first. Probably because the X is more than double the weight of the 3.
