The recent Bluetooth phone priority feature is great, but if we could have the internal camera use face recognition to determine whether my wife or myself is driving and prioritise from this would be an improvement. It could also set seats, mirrors and steering wheel from facial recognition
Good idea. At this rate the car will do everything for us@Brianhc23 actually even better: what if the outside cameras could recognize which person is walking up toward the driver's door and set the profile correspondingly?
My dad had an aftermarket system on a Ferrari he had a long time ago that did this. How about a full suite of "Active Sentry Mode" options? It could chide pedestrians that touch the car or linger nearby too long: "Please step away. You are being recorded."
Agree 100% I'm not sure how they'll do it since the front camera doesn't see the pavement directly in front of the car since they're too high in the windshield but even if it is a 270 degree camera for just the sides and rear that'd be great!Adding my vote for a birds-eye 360 degree view....going to miss that feature from my GLE....
That would be less efficient actually. That's why the RWD versions have shorter ranges. It's always a part time AWD anyway. The car supplies power in the most efficient manner possible to each motor not just splitting it 50/50.For improved efficiency: part time AWD when on highway by disengaging front motor and re-engaging when 'slip detected' or hard acceleration, or part time AWD while on Chill mode.
