We did Wytheville to Weston in November in our S85. I charged to 240 rated and had 24 rated when I pulled into Weston. Car was loaded but only two people. I drive 5 over the limit.

Same here! Looks like I will be doing Wythville, VA to Westin, WV with a full load (2 adults + 2 kids + dog + christmas gear) in cool temps, might be pushing it!
What was the temp? It looks to be mild, but potentially a lot of rain which could force higher wh/m and cut it real close...We did Wytheville to Weston in November in our S85. Mid 70s, no rain. If you encounter rain I’d slow down, best way to conserve range. What was the temp? It looks to be mild, but potentially a lot of rain which could force higher wh/m and cut it real close...
Thanks for trying. I still have a week but looks like it’s Charleston for me as well.Received this today for the team, FWIW::
Thank you for your response. We hope to energize as soon as possible, however we cannot make any guarantees about a specific opening day. Our team is working diligently to open this site as soon as possible.

Braver than I was! But good to know for my return. The car told me I could make it, but I didn't listen...Did Wythville to Weston this morning at 70-80mph with 2 adults, 2 kids, a dog and the car fully loaded. Charged to 240 rated miles and he roughly 12% battery when I arrived.
I’m pretty sure scottycs has an 85 from the mention he charged to 240. Might be a little tight in the 70.Braver than I was! But good to know for my return. The car told me I could make it, but I didn't listen...
Got it. Yep - I would have had some "stress"...! Made it to Oakville ON - that's what matters. Safe travels!Sorry I didn’t specify, I have a S85.
Those hills confuse the heck out of the estimator.Checked it 2 hours ago, still not powered up. However we made it Wytheville to Weston with 12% left in our fully charged 75. Scary when the trip estimator went 0% to 3% to 20% bouncing all over.
Thanks for the update. I’m heading south from Weston and not sure if going south will use up more power than going north from Wytheville. All depends on the topography.Checked it 2 hours ago, still not powered up. However we made it Wytheville to Weston with 12% left in our fully charged 75. Scary when the trip estimator went 0% to 3% to 20% bouncing all over.
On the Tesla.com/Findus page Beckley is now listed as coming before the end of 2018. Not good.
I wouldn't worry about the end of 2018 thing. Tesla just changed all the remaining 2017 sites to 2018 on the map. There are often long delays after construction is done to get the local utility to hook it up, but I'm betting this one will be open by the end of January.Ugh! This really sucks! I was hoping for it to be open as well. Oh well my trip is going to take me from Charleston, WV to Wytheville and onward so without Beckly at about 90% charge to be safe, I should be OK... so help me universe!
The entire set up in Beckley has been completed since mid November including the power meter installation. So the delay is really odd.I wouldn't worry about the end of 2018 thing.
