Thanks! Those are the V3 concrete bases for the dispenser pedestals (V3 vs V4 concrete bases described here), so this won't be a V4-pedestal site. Of course they could get Magic Docks installed. Just don't expect V4 pedestals.

This is in "The Wharf" retail complex, and I believe that's the seasonal ice rink in the background of the shots, next to the Sand Dollar Lifestyles store. So the map marker / lat-long above appears correct.

Half a mile to the east, a (non-Tesla) DCFC site is planned at a Cumberland Farms convenience store. The state development agency (ADECA) issued a grant for it back in November 2022, and the latest I heard is that it was in the design and permitting stage. I have no doubt that this Tesla site will be completed first -- that other site might be done by next spring if we're lucky :) Updates here: Cumberland Farms Convenience Store (Coming Soon) | Orange Beach, AL | EV Station

We have some progress at the Wharf. There are 12 V3 chargers installed next to the ice rink along with 10 Tesla Level 2 chargers across Wharf Lane. Looks like most hardware is installed with exception of a utility transformer.

A little progress from last week. The parking area has been resurfaced and lines painted on the supercharger side. Still waiting on the utility transformer. The charger install looks complete on the level 2 side but lacks resurfacing, utilities.

Update from Orange Beach. We visited the Wharf on Jan15. White transformers are in place. Everything looks read to turn on. I can only imagine connection to the Utility or an electrical inspection or both. I don't know why anyone would use the L2 chargers unless they are free.

The white cabinets are not "transformers" per se, rather Tesla's power conversion cabinets. The utility transformer will be a large green or grey cube, and the EMPTY pad for it can be seen in the previous post's photos. Is the utility transformer there yet?

Level 2 stations allow for longer charging sessions. So if you are going to be there for an hour or more, and don't need a full charge, you can avoid idle charges (or having to come back to unplug and move) by just using the Level 2. Cost should be trivial.

Utility Transformer is installed for the Supercharger side along with a transformer on the level 2 side. There is still a set of conduit coming out of the ground on the level 2 side. Parking lighting not complete, there are still empty bases waiting for light poles.

Hi, Progress at The Wharf in Orange Beach. 5 lamp posts are now mounted on their bases. A large spool of heavy gauge wire has disappeared and looks to be installed in underground conduits. Two new panels are now standing one one the Level 2 side and another on the Supercharger side. Each are holding up Meter panels with empty slots for the Utility Meters. Packaging and pallets have been removed. The place looks very close to ready pending a visit by the Utility and final inspection. Sorry no pictures it was getting dark and the place was filling up for a kiddy Mardi Gras parade.
