A new supercharger under construction has been spotted, with cabinets already on site, in Pahrump, NV. The news and this photo was posted to Facebook by David Sperry:

This is located on Highway 160 in the Smith's shopping center, which is next door to the Pahrump Nugget hotel & casino. This parking area has Superpawn and Rent-A-Center at the front near the highway, and the pictured Watermill Express and Burger King at 667 S. Highway 160 at the back, with the new superchargers in the area between.

Thanks David for letting us know!

Pahrump is in Nye County, Nevada.

Tesla should have an option to have chronically slow Supercharging speeds at a few stalls, say 20kW. After all, in Nye County a certain pastime is perfectly legal (unlike Las Vegas and Clark County) and likely proximate to this location.

Agreed not just for this location. In a non-busy Supercharger station, it would be nice to set the charge rate by time to allow for a one hour meal or shop.

Yeah, no.
Well that was quick. Superchargers are open, per Antonia Avila on Facebook who posted a photo. Not showing in the Tesla app yet.

Unfortunately not.

I stopped by Tuesday night because all but 1 charger was lit, and one was being used. I pulled in to give a go, and a Tesla tech came over and told me that I could only charge if I was desparate because they were shutting them all down due to the one being inop. Tesla requires they all be operational. It was his Y that was being charged, and they shut all chargers off while I was talking to him.

I stopped by again last night, and they were all still off. The tech said it could be a day or a month, he had no idea because it was dependent on subcontractors fixing their work.

If you want to, can't you tell it to charge at a slower rate? (I can choose the AMPs when charging at home, not sure about at SC's because I haven't used one in such a long time and when I do I want to charge fast).

OR you could maybe find an EVGo or Chargepoint one that's slower... Then you could Uber out to one of those places, get a 'quick fix' hehe... and head back... or just charge up and head over there I guess... Me, I do both at home!
