Charged tonight at 9pm. 1 car there, 1 other came in the 15 minutes i was there. got 90 kw. came in at 25%.
...I also discovered that the Yogurtland has recently closed...
What??!! That's sad news. It was the main reason we looked forward to the stop at Tejon.I also discovered that the Yogurtland has recently closed...
What?!?! Nooooooooooo!I also discovered that the Yogurtland has recently closed, to be replaced with a Firehouse subs.
The charging rate my wife experienced was not the big problem; she started at > 200 MPH starting at about 80 rated miles. But she has now spent 2 hours getting from the SC to the freeway onramp. Crazy.
Sorry to hear about that bizarre situation. I've charged at Tejon many times and never spent more than a few minutes to get from the Supercharger to the I5 onramp. The charging went fine and she pulled out with what we calculated she would need to get to Rancho Cucamonga, but after waiting 20 minutes or so just to get onto McCarthy Drive we decided to pick up a few more miles. It is now 10 PM and the traffic is still completely stopped on McCarthy Dr and she has been waiting for more than an hour to move a few feet.
Tejon may have better amenities (no more Yogurtland, though! *shakes fist at clouds*), but Buttonwillow and Bakersfield have 10 charging bays each--I went with Bakersfield over Tejon on Saturday. Now that we have the Bakersfield and Buttonwillow Superchargers it seems that Tejon should be avoided at busy travel times. It's great to have options!
Wow. I wonder if it would have been better to give up and take side streets north to 166 to get on the 5 up there? The charging rate my wife experienced was not the big problem; she started at > 200 MPH starting at about 80 rated miles. But she has now spent 2 hours getting from the SC to the freeway onramp. Crazy.
