Just an FYI Embassy Suites 3110 Skyline Dr. has two tesla connectors that are 80 amp. capable "if you have the 72 amp charger upgrade or Twin Chargers in your car". They are free to use according to Plugshare and there have been several M/S drivers that have had good experiences there "again according to Plugshare". I may try it Wednesday "if I pass through Tucson" on my way home. Was planning on charging to 100% in Casa Grande to minimize the time needed to charge in Tucson to be able to get home.

Been there, works great. The two times I've charged there, I've been the only one charging.

No significant changes to the site since WheresMyEV posted photos on Sunday. Some trenching to the south and delivery of grey conduit. The fenced area is apx 144 x 72 feet. Inside the store is open and inviting. The men's bathrooms was clean. They have everything one would expect for a modern convience store / gas station. I tried to find images of a plan or plat for the SC online without success.

I stopped by mid-day today. No photos taken. The crew of two were installing the conduit for what I'm guessing will be the charging pedestals. No Tesla marked boxes yet or transformer changes.

I have a home in Payson so I will keep an eye on when construction starts there.
I'd keep an eye on the casino, Carls Jr., and maybe Culvers. Don't think there is a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express in that town, but putting it in a hotel parking lot is also possible. The Quality Inn currently has a HPWC so that would be a candidate.

Anyone think that construction may have already started in Wilcox or Deming already but unknown to us without eyes on the ground? Unlike Tucson, these towns appear to not have permit applications online (last time I looked).

Once the Tucson SC is live, it's an easy round trip (~160 miles total) to Willcox to make inquiries related to a permit.

Maybe a kind soul in El Paso (since the El Paso SC is now up) would consider schlepping the ~100 miles each way to/from Deming. Otherwise, it's 214 miles one way from Tucson to Deming and that means an overnight experience *at best* to hunt down a permit or lack thereof.

I live roughly 40 miles from Willcox that would give me an excuse to drive my car ! Lol! it's a fairly small town I could Snoop around and see what I can find out next time I'm down there. Probably won't be until Thursday of this week though. Tucson is the one I'm really waiting for that's going to be a lifesaver for us outliers in the southeast corner of the state to be able to reach Tucson and back without having it be an all-day charging Marathon.

In Wilcox, theres a travel centers of America rest stop next to a holiday inn express just off the i-10th exit. On the other side there's a days inn and Carl's Jr. It makes sense for the supercharger to be most likely located st one of these two areas..

I do know that the "Fort Wilcox" RV Park has courted Tesla as a possible location for the Wilcox Supercharger (From a plug share member who charged / charges his Tesla there on occasion) He had discussed it with the owners. While their location might not be ideal it might offer a less expensive option as far as installation cost , land value, etc, Not sure what became of that. He was there Aug. 2nd. and posted this information to plug share when he checked in!

I was at Magic Circle RV Park in Wilcox charging on Friday (another option) until the superchargers come online.
