Sydney to Adelaide in a Model S

I just did ADL-SYD for the third Christmas/New Year and will drive home late in Jan. It gets easier every year with more Superchargers. Compared to an ICE trip it's kinda slow but relaxing. Take care!

A year ago I said we need an SC at Bendigo - and we still do!

1st Goulburn. 20 mins at the Supercharger and we’re off again (just enough time for a coffee at the Services Clib across the road).

A quick charge at the gleaming Wodonga Supercharger and we’re off again... #sydadlroadtrip

I spent the last 2 days getting home from Sydney to Adelaide. After overnighting in Euroa, I decided to ignore the car's suggestion to head to Ballarat for charging and instead drove directly to Horsham. I sat on or just under the speed limit and went via Murchison (again, ignoring instructions) and Bendigo. In my P85D on a mild morning, I made it with 24km in the battery. This saves a big detour and there a couple of destination chargers in Bendigo for a top up if you get nervous.

Even if you don't stop in Euroa you can save time by cutting off Ballarat - if just means a slower charge at Euroa to get the car to full rather than a quick top up. The extra time charging is less than the extra driving time. You can play with things like this at EV Trip Planner
