I think I figured out what bugs me about the front lip and side skirts. The dark color of the CF brings the car's paint color up higher, so the whole car looks like it's much higher off the ground. Almost "less sporty".

Compare that to the IKON Motorsport front lip spoiler (see pic below) which doesn't cover up any of the (white paint) at the bottom of the front bumper. So the car's paint color still goes all the way down, and the IKON front lip spoiler is mounted below that. So it doesn't look like the car is raised up.

I guess it's a matter of preference. Just my two cents.
