Curious as to your problems.
I’ve had a few minor problems like frunk wouldn’t open but it was fixed quickly. I now have about 8,000 miles so far and been loving it.
FUD will say: Haha, M3 demand is so low, they are pulling in MY production to fill the factory"My feeling is: They're saying late 2020 for the Model Y, but I suspect they will be making them earlier than that.
That is a good reminder why Tesla may be taking it slow for Model Y delivery. I think they will want to fix the quality control issues upfront, so that they don't get dinged during CR quality review.Curious as to your problems.

I have an entire thread documenting my problems, which are painful and which Tesla seems unable so far to fix. One possibility for at least one of the problems is that the suspension might not be properly bolted to the chassis, something which Tesla have a TSB on but which nobody checked on my car when I brought it in complaining of it making unusual noises when going over small bumps.
My Tesla ownership experience to date has been painful enough that it's doubtful at this point if I will own another one.
You know, I think I agree with you. I don’t see the point of both. They not different enough. I was underwhelmed by the event, but I’m digging the Y look and specs. I think that will be replacement for my current ICE cuv in 2021. I really could have used it this year. I have a model 3 deposit, but no point to get it at all. Y makes more sense at this point.
I think Elon got so burned by overdesign and complexity of X, that he didn’t want to make the same mistake with Y. I think he might have gone too far the other way, by being too safe.
I can’t wait to see the pickup. I hope it’s “not safe” in design aspects.
Right, second only to their record breaking number of spontaneous car fires.
Majority of the US right: Electric cars are evil. Solar is evil.
Majority of the US left: Billionaires are evil. Cars are evil.
Trying to imagine who would buy the eTron over the Y now. It has less cargo capacity, inferior charging infrastructure, roughly same range as the *standard* range Y, but for almost double the price. I ordered a long range AWD with FSD and 7 seats(in red) and mine is *still* more than $10k less than the entry level etron.
Well if you're going to go down that road how many millions will Tesla have to shell out for fatalities where AP was engaged? I mean come on, BMW has peanuts worth of fires same as every major auto maker.
Any possibility of using lemon law on it? I know there’s another member here who had to lemon law his X(pun very much intended) and now has a new Tesla(an S I think?)
Defects, such as rattles or squeaks, which do not substantially impair the use or market value of the vehicle are not covered. Neither are defects resulting from abuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications or alterations of the vehicle by a consumer.
Yes, ATH today.ou know another company that is yo-yo all the time? Microsoft, I have long lost count the number of products that they offered and killed in the past ten years. Luckily I kept my shares.
Have you seen an EPA estimate for e-Tron? I think it is likely to be significantly lower than the SR Model Y.
I read E-tron is 248 miles WLTP which i think would be closer to 200 miles EPA. (This uses I-Pace EPA range of 234 miles vs its WLTP range of 292 miles).
So does the list of you WANTS which are not necessarily in th same priority order as you seem to want them. So, not only do you want everything, but you want it now...seemingly regardless of whether it is in the company's best interest or not.
Look, you can interpret things however you want. Buy it, sell it, pump it, dump it. No skin off my nose. I think only Tesla knows what Tesla needs and I am happy to defer to their judgement. In my eyes, they've done a pretty amazing job so far and I see no reason to change course now.
Dan
There’s been, what, 2 confirmed incidents of fatalities on AP, worldwide? As I remember, BMW’s fires are into the hundreds, and they’re recalling over a million cars.
I wonder if it might help to pull the plug on this thread and do a reset?
Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?
