I thought there's some kind of naked short covering event that only divine intervention such as an at the market offering ca n alleviate the squeeze...what happened?
Maybe most everyone here—except @Krugerrand , @AudubonB, me, and a few others—tried to get clever and sold shares and bought options leading up to the split.

The Streeters said “Whoa, never mind the shorting, let’s take that money!"

/joking, well at least half 😅

As far as I can tell, the Street makes money now mainly by confounding the short term expectations of Retail.

Anyone have any idea what time the split actually happens?

I remember last time TSLA split my Vanguard account showed five times my shares but at the original share price, and for an hour or so before market open the next day my account valuation was inflated five times what it should be. Made for a glorious screenshot, I wonder if the same will happen this time? :D
Me too. Still have the screenshot. Lol.

Dangit. Now we will have to talk about pre-split and pre-pre-split.
I lost track of the splits for my AAPL. I just look up the current net cost basis for my original lot and it is $0.46. Can't wait until we have enough splits that my original TSLA is under $0.50 a share.

Incase people want to know the mystery behind "Chips and Dips" from Elon's Twitter. It's the Dojo Interface Processor (DIP)

I love your optimism, but would temper your hopes a bit. As of tomorrow, I expect Shorty McShortface to be back in town with his naked troupe, and TSLA is a favourite market-moving stock to help dump the indices in their ongoing battle of the bear-market
Agree, I am optimistic, thanks ;)

But doesn’t “maybe” imply doubt? Oh, did I do that again? Yep! I’m not specific enough. Maybe I should use “might” instead - it’s a notch below maybe, but a bit stronger than “could.” (not /s)

I have been expecting the unexpected though. It’s Tesla. The moment we think we know, look out! Same with stocks. Which makes any prediction a coin toss really.

I doubt that's accurate. I suspect most of us are buying call options for a year or more out to expiry.

Exactly. While I wholeheartedly applaud efforts to bring corruption to light, the recent flurry of complaints by TSLA investors to the SEC regarding the [overdue/missing] credit upgrade sounds to Wall St. like mission accomplished.

No options for me.

This thread is not private, nor is wallstreetbets. Users should expect that there are wall street eyes here. So when everyone here shares their plans, you're telling wall street what to anticipate from retail and how to fleece retail.

However, Wall Street can't fleece HODLers.

They hardly need to peruse the forum. They have the order book right in front of them.

Tesla stock closed at $891.29. So the price after the split is going to be...

:D
If everyone with shares could give me $0.02 from each of their shares, that would make the math easier.
I’m willing to take this for the team. That’s just who I am.

It's all a conspiracy! Seriously though, I'm sure Wall St. is watching this forum about as intently as they're watching Schrodinger's cat.
