The CCC rating on Tesla bond is wrong. If they want to short this case, they should short the bond rating agency. If they understand this they wouldn't be shorting Tesla bond in the first place. On the other hand, legacy car makers' bond should be avoided. But they think that's safe.

NEW STREET CUTS TESLA TO NEUTRAL: New Street analyst Pierre Ferragu downgraded Tesla (TSLA) to Neutral from Buy with an unchanged one-year price target of $800. The analyst said that over the next year, there is not likely going to be anything making him more confident in the stock, as all the potential catalysts are over a year out. Ferragu recommended buying the stock after the short squeeze is over, on a pullback.

He said catalysts are a year out, but is the Semi going to be available this year?

I don’t trade options, but I sold half of my long position today at 950. I’m both half hoping I don’t regret this and will be able to buy more shares when a dip happens, and half hoping the run continues even if it means I made a bad call today. Oh well, can’t be too mad about locking in some guaranteed money today.

Sold about half of my position and will buy back in on a dip. TSLA stock has become such an outsized position I'd rather pause a few days and decide whether I want to get back in or reallocate to other holdings. Fair disclosure: I'm fairly risk adverse so TSLA is one of my three "growth" names, the balance of my holdings are fairly boring dividend payers.

When do new option levels get created? On Schwab I was looking for Jan '21 and the highest they had listed was 1015. Bought it. Jun '22 max was 1030.
