As the trading week comes to an end boys and girls, let's not forget there are still mentally unstable people out there on television:

Fundamental point he makes is good. If you don’t trust management you shouldn’t invest in a company. I’ve said as much to people on this thread. Trust is a subjective thing and I can understand why people might not trust Elon.

While that is a good reason to not invest in Tesla. It is not a good reason to short them. In fact it is quite a stupid reason to be the fundamental reason to short a company. You should short a company because you see a fundamental weakness in their position. He doesn’t even seem to understand Tesla the company, let alone have properly identified a big weakness. He mumbles some stuff about China and market share, but he doesn’t remotely seem to grasp that market or Tesla’s position there either.

So with the closing price today at $177.90 and the open on Monday at $135.87, we've had a weekly (M-F) gain of 30.93%!

I thought this may have been a record weekly gain as there was nothing bigger in my data going back to mid 2017. I had to update the data all the way back to Tesla's IPO to check and so below are my results for the top 5 weekly gains.

It would be interesting to add a column for what happened the following week in each of those cases.

...I’m not a TA guy, but I can read maps pretty well. I think we’re in the green square.

Edit: Just realized that within a 1 year period I bought within 5% of “Point of Maximum Financial Risk” and within 5% of “Point of Maximum Financial Opportunity”

Nice. We could just point to that diagram and save at least HALF of the [edit: tens [edit: hundreds] of] thousands of posts in this forum. ;)
(half-joking, but... seriously!)

The people that short TSLA are the same people who think it is extraordinarily clever to say EVs are powered by coal

That's the coolest thing about EV's, they can run on whatever is available at the moment, coal, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, geo-thermal, wind, solar, or a mix of whatever you have available. In a pinch it can even run on propane, gas or diesel.

Show me a non-EV that can do all that and I'll buy it! That usually shuts them up...
