Tesla website down? Can't cancel M3. "Your account isn't available right now."

Went to Tesla website just now to check how to cancel a Model 3 reservation and was greeted with,

"Your account isn't available right now. Try again later.
Reservation holders can check delivery date estimates here."

Has this happened before?

Yes. Websites in general go down from time to time. In this case, it may simply be that so many people are trying to access their accounts right now that the server is saturated.

Yeah, today is earnings day and it just hit the news that the standard version is being delayed. I bet Tesla's site is being hammered right now.

Actually, the message is not the usual canned message. It looks like a page specifically set up to prevent you from cancelling your M3.

My conspiracy theory mindset agrees with you. It seems like putting folks into a cooldown period.

However the website difficulties means that you can't order an S or X either. I doubt they would discourage that.

Tesla.com site is working now. I'm able to get to my account and am able to request cancellation.
