Tesla will have to ship Cybertrucks out of Texas in order to sell them within Texas

Ship? might it be easier to just direct the FSD to drive to Thackerville OK and back?
And then have thousands of wrecked CTs to repair? Or more likely, thousands of CTs clogging up the Interstate because they won't drive over a bridge shadow?

Classic Elon to not make the legislature get this done as part of their "package" to get the factory.

I think he considered the round trip of shipping out of Texas in order to deliver to Texas and the Texas incentives would make up for that inconvenience.

I think it's almost like paying for the shipping from outside of the US instead of buying next door because it's cheaper to pay for the shipping.

Since we weren‘t present at the negotiations, we don’t know what he asked for. He may have included that in his list of demands and the answer may have been “we’ll try to get that law changed but working with the legislature is like herding cats”.

Have you followed what Elon has been saying about how Austin got picked? Austin definitely didn't win on incentives. Other sites (e.g. Tulsa, Joplin) had better incentives, but Austin was the only place Tesla employees (most of whom are die-hard liberals) were actually willing to move to.
