Huh? What are you reading? That's 295s on 18x11s.That’s a ton of work for 265s. Much more work than 275s require.

Hah. Yeah, I dunno what I saw there.Huh? What are you reading? That's 295s on 18x11s.
Look up a few more posts. Shortly I'll be running a custom upright with the goal of 315s (335s??), so that necessitates the 11" rim. And I didn't want to buy extra rims. New/used uprights are cheaper than 2 wheels for whenever I sell the car.Hah. Yeah, I dunno what I saw there.
I’ll blame a 30hr day. That said, did I miss the reason you didn’t go with a 10.5 et ~22 and avoid this knuckle fun while having more than enough room for a 295?
custom upright? do tell. I haven't wanted to do anything more until I can get 315 square A7. 295/315 is fun butLook up a few more posts. 30mm additional inboard clearance, coarse camber adjustments up to -2.5*, geometry correction compensating for 1.5" drop, increased camber gain. Nothing special. I'm sure a price tag to match too.custom upright? do tell. I haven't wanted to do anything more until I can get 315 square A7. 295/315 is fun but
It may tuck in enough under compression, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to run a little more camber to make sure!So I just moved up to a 275/35/19 on 19 x 10.5 +25 wheels. MPP catalog and the setup is for autocross. Wondering if I will have rubbing issues though in the rear??? Front camber is -3.1 rear is -2.2. thoughts?View attachment 955847View attachment 955846
My favorite company is the first to reply???It may tuck in enough under compression, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to run a little more camber to make sure!
Success! No issues under extreme autocross use, so it looks like the camber increase worked out well in the rear. The front was just fine also. I have to say the RE71RS is a pretty great tire. I was able to run much lower pressure without rolling over compared to the rt660.It may tuck in enough under compression, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to run a little more camber to make sure!
33-34 front, 31-32 rear on the 71rs, had to be north of 36-37 on falkensWhat pressures are you running? And did you try high and low pressures with much differences?
Hmm. I've got 295 RE71s. Found 37 f/r to be my goto pressure. Played around from 34 -38. Started high went down down low. Came back up to 37.33-34 front, 31-32 rear on the 71rs, had to be north of 36-37 on falkens
I have 275s on 10.5 wide wheels, so I think it helps with sidewall support.Hmm. I've got 295 RE71s. Found 37 f/r to be my goto pressure. Played around from 34 -38. Started high went down down low. Came back up to 37.
Hm, I'm running 305-wide RT660s at 30psi and 3.5ish front camber on 10.5-wide 19" wheels, and getting more wear on the inner shoulder than at the outer one. Also, I'm massively slower at pressures above 32psi. Heck, I was starting them at 27-28psi at this weekend "autocross" -- 120+ second asphalt courses with speeds up to 80-90mph -- due to tons of heat build-up during runs. And I was still getting pretty even temps across the tread via post-run pyrometer measurements.33-34 front, 31-32 rear on the 71rs, had to be north of 36-37 on falkens
I’m running 33 all around on 615Ks. 275 on 10.5”. 18s33-34 front, 31-32 rear on the 71rs, had to be north of 36-37 on falkens
The shaving was to get the wheels to fit, not so much the tires.
Run a spacer? My problem with 19's is the tires so might attempt the same but higher up on the upright.
Seems to only rub under extreme cornering, I had no idea how much a tire moves in the horizontal direction, in retrospect I should have been less aggressive on the offset.
