I've been wondering when it was going to pop up for sale somewhere. I sold it to CarMax several months ago. Just got sick of it breaking all the time (and Tesla being unable to get replacement parts). After 3 battery packs and 4 PEMs, I was done.

Appears to have the appropriate range for a 3.0, right? That seems like an incredible deal...

I visited our friend #1171 today. There's definitely some weird up-and-down play in the rear bumper, the front bumper isn't the right color, and the Carfax notes damage but no accident.

It was actually my first time sitting inside a Roadster (I didn't drive it). I was surprised at the thick side platform(?) that intrudes into the footwells, the short distance between the top of the steering wheel and the roof, and the wobbliness of the center console. I could definitely see it as a fun weekend car, but might be tough as a daily driver. Props to you guys here for loving these cars so well.

Ah... it's a shame you didn't drive it; esp with the top off. With its diminutive size and low seating position, it feels like you're driving a slot car. Yes, all those characteristics you cited are certainly true. The door sills are indeed wide (though they're are actually 2" lower than on an Elise) and the center console is somewhat Mickey Mouse. As for the distance between the steering wheel and the roof, that doesn't matter when topless. In fact, none of this matters once you're seated behind the wheel and experiencing the feeling you get flying up a freeway on ramp.

The 2020 Roadster will only enhance that sensation. Looks like you've got your reservation already (congrats!) so you're in for a treat in a couple years! FWIW, we're both in SoCal so you're welcome to test drive my 2.5 Sport if I can have the honor of getting to drive your 4.x after you take delivery ;)

I may go drive it this Sunday. They have it inside the showroom and I didn't want to ask them to let me take it out at night right before closing. That's interesting about the Elise's door sills being even higher - I had no idea! I got in and was like "what the...?" If I do drive it and fall in love, I'm going to need to find one in the right color, though (Fusion Red, Lightning Green, Very Orange, Brilliant Yellow, maybe Electric Blue). :D

Haha - sounds like a deal. I'm not sure I'll actually take the plunge but I decided that zero interest on $50K for the next ~four years was a decent price for the excitement and anticipation (plus the early adopter fun if I am in the position to get one).

Silver paint with beige/brown seats is a very unusual, and to my eyes, very odd color combination. But they can always be reupholstered. I hope it sells for the asking price.
