Track Mode Rolling out Today!

Wouldn't be surprised if the update is being pushed to P3D+ first. But folks should relax, Elon delivers, just as he delivered a Track Mode he promised would make P3D faster than BMW M3 on the track. If he says P3D- will get it, they'll get it. He's said that twice now.

I literally had a ranger out today to swap out my turn signal, and the latest software he said he could pull down do my P3D- was 42.4
This was after 5PM CST, and there were already 42.8s on TeslaFi. So unless I missed the update release time by a silly small amount of time, the minuses won't be getting this soon.

I’m about to have a ranger out for the same thing on my P3D-. I’ll ask them. Btw, how long did the install take?

I noticed the same thing, though i wonder if it behaves differently at various speeds (i.e maybe it limits power more at low speeds). Definitely need to get it out on a track to see what it can do, i'm going to look for an empty parking lot in the meantime...

Wierd... I definately noticed heavier regen and was able to slip the rear around corners more than normal. Whole car felt a bit jerkier... not sure if throttle response was adjusted as well? Couldn’t break traction from a standstill, only when throwing into a corner. Pretty noisy with all the fans and cooling systems running. I didn’t really put it through it’s paces, but I’m not sure it’ll let me do the full plume of smoke style drift they’ve been showing everywhere. It did feel faster and more composed through corners... some slip but not breaking completely loose.

"Tesla M3 laps track faster than "Alfa Romeo Giulia... matches Porsche Cayman GT4 .. beats a former Best Driver's Car winner, the 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia. . . perches the Model 3 atop the podium as the world's quickest sport sedan" on the track Tesla Model 3 Performance Track Mode (Release Version): Ludicrous Handling - Motor Trend

That's streets of Willow dood. Not a real full track. I've tracked there. Its ssomewhere in between a real full on track and autocross

Also we were talking about the BMW M3 not the model 3

The installation of the new signal module took maybe 15 minutes, then he pulled 42.4 down (~20 minutes to install), and then I drove around for a few minutes to test out my blinkers while he logged everything.
I finally swapped out my trunk lights with AO ones to keep my WiFi active, but no luck on getting 42.8 yet

Not sure why you wanted to compare to a model S which is a real boat. The M3 isn't a great track car either. It's also considered bloaty as well.

Only 200 pounds lol.... Based on the previous guy it's closer than 500. But the fact that you think 200 is nothing speaks for itself. I assume you don't track cars.
That's my bad. I was remembering the weight of the 340 ix when I was comparing to AWD Model 3 (mine)
And I'm not sure why you are so hostile though. And yes I used to autocross my S2000. My point was everyone talks about how heavy Model 3 is, when the difference is tangible but not crazy.
