Are you using IE 9 or 10 ? I think I had to use compatibility mode. Or use Chrome....

I'm using Chrome. I also tried several other browsers -- Safari and Opera. I thought it might be the browser but it's worked with all of the other web-based interactions with Tesla, so I don't know why this should be different. In any case I emailed them and I told them I want to do it on the phone with my DS on the other end. I'm now totally frustrated with the web approach's failure to work.

@artsci - we feel your pain. But in the meantime why don't you program a new browser while you're waiting?

All kidding aside, you have to be the most industrious person I know.

I talked to Tesla just now. It's a problem on their end and their IT is looking into it. But I was told it will take a few days to correct. In the meantime I provided on the phone all of my delivery details, including a request that I receive a car with virgin paint -- untouched by Tesla's detailers or handlers. I was told that was a very unusual request but that it would be put in the record. As for a VIN, I was told next week, but I had the sense the person I was talking to really didn't know and was just covering his behind.

Artsci, did they tell you when you would take delivery?

DLM270, keep us posted on your pickup at the factory. Are you still on for the 12th. We need pictures of your arrest me red MS.

The delivery window is still the same - 4/24 to 5/8, but it will be more precise later this week or early next. I might even get delivery before 4/24. All depends on how the car comes through production and whether it will need any additional quality control work. I was very happy to hear that.

As I'll be traveling for much of the delivery window my DS also recorded the dates I'll be home.

That's all I know for now.

Don't forget to keep the Spreadsheet updated as you get more information! I got a 4/12-4/26 delivery window from my questionnaire, but talking to my DS yesterday he said: conservatively May 6th... disappointing.

I was excited to see the Reds coming down the line, can't wait to get my VIN and a more firm delivery date!

FYI I was in the Santana Row store yesterday. I know we're all waiting for the final production reds to emerge. But I was reassured by store employees that the production red is identical to the one currently in the store. Photos have been uploaded before. But in case you wanted to see just... one... more...

I am very glad to see the "delivery buttons" showing up for everyone in the "Waiting For RED" Club!

I received the Final MVPA signed by TESLA this morning. It indicates "delivery on or about April 10" but I expect it will actually be early next week. I should receive a definite delivery date from my Product Specialist as soon as the car is through Final Assembly.

I will post as soon as I have the date, and definately post pictures as soon as I am able. This is getting very exciting.....RED is FINALLY ALMOST HERE.

As any photographer knows well, we just can't trust the color accuracy of photos taken under artificial light. So let's not jump to any conclusions based on photos taken in the stores, on the factory floor, or other indoor locations.

@Xfrank - artsci is correct. It has everything to do with lighting and angle of reflection (to name two among many). Move your arrow back toward the rear of the car and the red looks identical to those coming off the line and the sample in the stores. So in a sense everyone is correct: all those reds are what we're getting. Keep the faith!
