Ugh, Model X 12V battery failure in Santa Fe, NM

You can jump it from the frunk. There is a positive terminal that's easy to get to.
1) Use the manual release to open the frunk.
2) Remove the plastic piece above the frunk (no tools needed).
3) Connect to the positive terminal and to a ground.
4) After you get it going, drive straight to the SC and make them replace the battery. ;-)
 
Got my car back today. It was the 12V, according to them it suffered a “rapid complete failure” that they don’t see very often. No cost for the whole ordeal, so I can’t complain aside from having to drive a minivan for the week. Ha
Keep an eye on that 12v - the SC always gives me a new one when I take myX in for the annual service. It may be a common problem.
 
It will at ;east give you a chance. FYI mine is old school with a direct connection to the battery in the starter. Newer ones had a switch in the jumper cables to sense reverse polarity, dead battery, reverse current, etc. I think now the electronics may be inside the box with the battery that may make it harder to use for this application.
