Updated account summary page: did anyone not get it?

Oh, glad I found your response. I did pretty much thall same thing except I’m bringing 3rd party financing. In your case, what happened after you said that to the advisor? Did it complicate anything?

Nope. She just said to provide her the bank information whenever I was ready so that she could update my account. Did the same thing when I switched insurances too. Since I chose Tesla Financing. She simply unlocked that option in my account in a matter of minutes. And then the next day I was all set and ready to schedule a delivery date.

Anyone with the new language ("delivery experience specialist is reviewing your changes") bothered calling [out] Tesla to find out who this supposed delivery experience specialist is? When I had the 48-hour message, I called, and no one had been assigned to me. I highly doubt this claim.

I got the same message after I had to change some of my information, because they got the Trade-In information wrong, which impacted the final price after taxes. After 48 hours, I contacted my ISA, and she was able to do the changes. It then reflected accordingly on my account.

Edit: This was on 07/20.

AWD Reserved 4/1/16 (non-owner). Order placed and accepted 6/27/18. Got update on my account page on 7/20 with state sales tax wrong! (I live in Maine, but they calculated the sales tax for Mass. 1.25% higher than Maine!). I responded, noting the error and my account had a message that a representative would be in touch " within 48 hours." A week later, still no contact from anyone at Tesla, but the message on my account changed to, "A delivery experience specialist is reviewing your changes and will contact you prior to delivery." The sales tax amount on my account has not been updated (still Mass. sales tax) and no VIN assigned.

Are you by any change picking up in MA? Maybe that's why the system calculated the 6.25% sales tax.

I'm sitting without any activity on my acct, but I'm a late reservation holder.
Reserved 06/05/2018, Ordered 06/27/2018; Estimate: Aug-Oct.
Performance 3, MSM, Black interior, No performance upgrades, EAP;
Pittsburgh, PA.

Gotta ask: What are the chances that choosing not to trade-in a vehicle would improve my likelihood to get some kind of progress sooner, considering that I'm planning on paying cash?

I know I'm being antsy considering the # of people who reserved 2 years before me without a VIN, but seeing all checkboxes checked except for trade-in does make me wonder.

I dont know TBH but all I can say is I reserved on 07/02/2018 and I take delivery in 2 days time (1 month from reserve to car)!!! I am cash, no trade in, I assumed it would help and I can sell my car some other way. Details in sig (not performance)

I used the JavaScript trick to find out that I do, in fact, have a VIN assigned. It’s 535xx (not sure why people mask it, but just following suit). For those who don’t know about the trick, it’s a way of uncovering an encrypted portion of the summary page to make the assigned VIN visible to you. Search “JavaScript” for instructions.

I believe a hidden VIN becomes available on your page following first contact by the deliver advisor. The only unhide it from their end when they confirm all your order details are straight and that your car is truly ready for delivery. But just knowing that a VIN is assigned is good insight into the status of your order.

Here’s my situation:
RWD White, Sport wheels
Reserved July 2017
Ordered July 2018
Email contact July 2018
Only learned about JS trick last night and VIN is there.
My advisor reached out this past Thursday to confirm my order and my payment and deliver preferences. I replied on Friday but got an out of office message stating she won’t be back until Tuesday (today). I expect once she reads that all my affairs are in order, she’ll setup my delivery and unhide my VIN. This is just speculation.

I hope this helps.

You can also just view the source and find the VIN there. No need for JavaScript.

I have the EncodedVin with a valid value but null for "Vin". Maybe a plain text "Vin" becomes available once it is unhidden? I'm going on 5-6 days now with an EncodedVin but no contact from Tesla. Hopefully soon...
That is correct. Looking through the source code, the VIN value is for when the VIN is unhidden and utilized as an object/string to reference to by the rest of the site/page as part of the logic. If you have a value of EncodedVIN, you can use atob in the browser console to decode base-64 and get the plain text.

atob(Tesla.ProductF.Data["EncodedVin"])

I'm curious, has anyone who is still stuck on the old page ("Please complete the following steps to take delivery") tried manually browsing to the new page ("Please review and confirm") and confirming their details to see what happens?

For reference, the URL for the confirmation page is:
Tesla SSO – Login
(replace "RNXXXXXXXXX" with your actual RN)

Yes- mentioned it in the other thread.

I then got the thing about how they're drawing stuff up, the edit button was gone, and I could see the summary of price with taxes.

Then I closed the window, and went back to tesla.com and manage my reservation, and was back at the old page with the edit button still there.
