Using a Tesla Power adapter at home

I have a new Model 3 standard range. I purchased a Tesla Power adapter and installed it in my garage using a 60 amp circuit breaker with a 60 amp line and 240v. The charging screen shows 12 amps ---- I expected more. Is there a setting I need to change? Please advise.

You can manually change the charging current in the charge screen, but I did think it was automatic...

Does it saw 12/48amps or 12/12?
If the former it is a car setting, if the later it is internal to the wall connector.

Thanks. I previously had it connected to a 110v volt 12 amp connection at this location. I had a 240v 60 amp connection run to my garage and installed the Tesla purchased power adapter. When charging cable is not conectedI can manually change to 32A but when I plug it in it goes back to 12A. Is there a setting in the wall mounted charing adapter?

We don't know what you are talking about Tesla Power adapter. Could be more than one thing. But sort of sounds like you mean the Wall Connector? It has settings on it (covered in the instructions) to change the setting to match your circuit and car charging capability.

Thanks. Yes I should have said Wall connector and just read the manual about the dip switches and rotary switch. I'll give that a try.

Same as these others. It's the internal switch that isn't set right.
