Checked my wifi router this morning, and my car has pulled 5.37GB of data in the last 48 hours.

I'm on 2018.50.6

It's a P3D-


Are we due for a Maps update?

How big is 2019.5.x?

Is it bigger because it's also being combined with Track Mode (FINALLY)?

And why hasn't the car notified me it's ready to install yet? Do we get updates that just sit, awaiting a signal from Tesla to install?

The only other time my car pulled this much data in a short period of time (I've had it since August), is when we needed to have the Maps update to get the v9 firmware.

I also just got 5 GB of download, i think its a map update.

5.4 fireware was only around 450mb

You authorize numbered updates, maps download without action. 5 gigs is about 40 Gb. At my 4 Mbs dsl that would take almost 4 hours. That's probably why there's an unexplained range loss some nights if a car is not plugged in.

I'm on 250mb/s wifi with a mesh network.the car had good signal. it only took ~1/2 hour.
