Keep the Roadster terminology. I would call it Model S 1.5.

I like this the best. The "Second Generation" Model S is whatever happens after the next major redesign. I feel like calling a few minor cosmetic changes "Gen 2" is really over-selling it.

Most car people would just call it a facelift! So these are the facelifted cars and the older cars are pre-facelift.

Definitely NOT a 2nd Gen like update, it's the exact same body on the exact same platform, with new bumper covers and other updated details. Very mild refresh

v1.5 seems the most fitting, although that would be ideal if it had the new battery chemistry as well

Alright fine how about:

1.0 = Classic/Original
1.5 = Autopilot
1.6 = Facelift
1.7+ = Facelift + Ventilated Seats + Interior Improvements (Speculation/Rumor)
2.0 = New platform/motor configuration/etc.

I was thinking about slotting that in, but then the Model designation tells us D or not. A 1.5 90 vs 1.5 90D

I'm just saying that the D was a MAJOR event with huge fan fare, theatrical party and a major change for the S. Certainly IMHO the most major hardware change brought to the S to date other than the recent front end redesign.

Not very practical and perhaps a bit disrespectful, but in Saghost's list, Sharknose S appealed to me. Couldn't put a name on it before, but that's what I see.
