Who is responsible for updating delivery status on Tesla Account?

As title says, wondering who? is it OA? I know OA has admin mode to change information on Tesla Account (saw it once), or is it DS?

I doubt it is automatically done because everyone from different zone seemed to have different experience. My doesn't change at all ...

As the Delivery Specialist (DS) is responsible for all delivery items— I would assume (not positive though) that this would include overseeing and updating the delivery status data along with either the inventory location folks or the factory folks. I doubt the updates come from a singe person, but rather a few folks along the delivery distribution channel. Regardless, the DS owns this process and is the customer point of contact.

What status? Is it the statement under What's Next?
My had been saying this since the first time I log in 3 weeks ago:
You will be contacted by a Tesla delivery specialist to arrange for payment and delivery of your Model X.

My DS did email me twice telling me it will be ready in middle of Dec... but no status update on Tesla account.

@Lhshockey24 , do they give you hard copy of purchase invoice? what about service plan and extended service agreement? will they give you a hard copy proof? Just wondering.

I asked them to just scan/email everything to me. However, I asked them to do the same for my trade-in docs last week and I still haven't gotten anything back. They haven't even cashed the check from my trade-in payoff and it's almost been a week ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Most documents are available in your Tesla account though - but only 'draft' versions.

Ditto

My sources tell me that the linking of the My Tesla account (including status updates) is one of the worst integrated parts of Tesla and that engineering has been focused on this very issue this month. I'm hoping this brings positive change, but then again, once my car is delivered on Friday, I don't really care about not seeing any updates. :)

you would think this would be one of the easiest things for a tech savvy company to do.

Totally agree that it should be super easy to integrate with their tracking system. Clearly OA's and DES's have access...why not link in the buyer? On the other hand, keeping high maintenance buyers updated with minute-by-minute updates on their order status is probably not a high priority. The car gets here when it gets here.

It took UPS and FedEx years to get step-by-step status integrated and visible for customers.

A couple days after delivery my account now looks like an owner account. Super charging status, submit a support request, etc.

1 right?
2 i suggested to my OA that they make the tesla app essentially a gps of "where your car physically is" on a map. so buyers can at least see where the car is. maybe that would help alleviate some of the concerns/questions the buyers have. maybe it could cause more though, the more i think about it. but i think it would help, and just be pretty cool rather than see "no vehicle associated with this account" when i have a myaccount on tesla.com.
3 i know, i'm in an industry closely related to transportation, and online tracking is something all the companies had to figure out. thank goodness for code writers!

Any car manufacturer should be able to do it easily. 10 years ago when I ordered my Mini Cooper S, I was able to see every step online. It doesn't just list "in production", it told you if the car is being assembled, painted, or quality controlled.. etc. It tells you when it is loaded to the ship, which ship, and the route. I can track the ship on the water to US. And it will tell you when it arrived at the port and when it would get to the dealership.

Exactly... I don't see this would be something require lengthy time to implement on tesla account, provide that some of them already receiving updates. I complain this on official forum, but for some reason, that forum seemed to be protected by a group of fans, any negative comments you raise, would be bashed down to the ground. hahaha, very interesting ...

But I wonder if that was a real status or not. I know some companies that display real-time tracking for packages for even things like pizza delivery will display a simulated timeline. The only things being actually tracked are start and finish and everything in between is just based on average time from step-to-step. The buyer wouldn't even know. I wonder if Tesla did something like that it would make people happy even if they potentially knew the status wasn't precise.

The Mini Cooper one was real status. Some people had their stuck in paint shop or in other states longer and wondered what happened. It gives you estimated date out of production and the date changes for some people. It was 10 years ago but I still remember for about 8 weeks I was tracking it daily. Maybe UK has better tech for this sort of things!

Dido, anything is better than nothing, I believe people like to see progress bar or a simple spinning icon while requesting/submitting something online right? So us, customers would know something is happening....
