Wide Turns with basic AP

For context, Tesla enthusiast here! 2023 M3, 12k miles.

I use AP a lot and am generally very happy with Cruise and Autosteer in basic AP (do not own EAP or FSD).

HOWEVER, I've been noticing that even in moderate curves, autosteer takes a long time to adjust and usually does not stay centered. Turns are wide and touch the markers. Don't know if it's any better with cars alongside. Very surprised that such a basic function could be so flawed.

So my question is this: For a basic turning function without anything extraneous, would EAP or FSD use the same software/AI and exhibit the same flaw?

Related, how could this apply to my vehicle only, since that function must be stable software??

Would love to know what I'm missing.

Thanks !
