Zero Mile club

Since the start of the stay-at-home orders, i have put 0 miles on my Tesla. almost everything gets delivered, my wife took her car to the grocery store just a couple times which is only a mile away. I work from home, so my commute is just down the stairs.

I miss driving!

Who else is in the Zero (or nearly zero) mile cornonavirus stay-at-home club?

Probably not a good idea to leave the car stationary for too long, drive it a little every once a while to prevent flat spots on the tires.

I think I'm putting on more miles now just to get out of the house and drive for fun. Not like I have to stop at the gas station or anything. My usual daily commute is was only two miles round trip though, so "more" doesn't require a whole lot.

I typically go out once or twice a day, just to get out of the house. I don't ever get out of the car, so don't consider this a risk.

The concern is if you break down or have a wreck, then you'll have unplanned social interaction.

True, it's not without some risk, but a risk I'm willing to take at the moment. Where I live CV cases are very low compared to the rest of the nation. But it is still a risk, I know.

Most folks that do not have something in the trunk they
need to dispose of or have a job that they have to work at are
in the same boat. World wide.
I have never been a fan of a job that I needed to do work.
I guess I will wake up my car to get the latest news.

I've been driving my S up to Mt. Rose to XC ski on the meadow. About a 20 minute drive and ski for a few hours with lots of physical distance from everybody.
Love to drive the car and love to ski. Makes a great day.

I drive mine every couple of days. Going out in the back yard and chilling just isn't enough sometimes in this beautiful weather.

I drive mine every day. I have a mask available, but never have a need for it either at work or in stores.

Feel for you back to the future man. Had a hip replacement three days before elective surgery was cancelled and so I’ve been “quarantined” anyway. That said, I’m walking pretty well five weeks out and I’ve been stir crazy in the house. So, me wife and I’ve been taking nice drives...just because. Today we drove about 50 miles and even left the State. So good to get my head out of the kitchen. I encourage you to do Tesla mental health therapy was often as you want/need to. Be well. Stay Calm. It's not you anyone is worried about, it's who you could infect or spread the virus to in those situations.

I have an essential job and use my MS for work. Did 3 house calls today in Austin and drove over 100 miles. I still get to drive mine!
(of course trips to the post office, bank, and grocery store gets me out of the house too)

And with very little traffic out now you can really open it up!

I've only been going to the local burrito place for take-out, once or twice a week; however, my wife and I took a quick trip to a local overlook to catch up on Ozark. We brought snacks and made an afternoon of it. Definitely not zero-club worthy, but our electric bill was very low this month, nearly $70 bucks which wasn't bad (compared to maybe $116, cheap, local municipal power ftw!)

My commute is not terrible normally but it has gotten even better with so much fewer cars on the road.
I love it!
