I also purchased a Modern Spare Tire and carry it in my trunk. Used it once when I got a screw in my tire. Was able to change it and get to Les Schwab and get my tire fixed. Worth the cost and peace of mind.

I may have misheard him, but I thought he said 9-10 db with the foam inserts. Sounds like you know way more about the way this works than I do. Sorry for any confusion.

I just had my S in the service center and the service tech mentioned they are now offering tires with foam inserts that reduce noise by about 9 to 10 decibels. He said it may not sound like much, but makes a big difference. Not sure if you knew about this. Just putting it out there.
