Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Idk if I could pay 80k and get a crazy painted and 30% faster/longer range Y I would.... Berlin/Austin Y gonna Osborne Fremont Y maybe - battery day claims are substantial improvements. If halfway there it is still substantial.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

***legit think we’re missing something critical**** Tesla gonna make Y in Germany with some of the new battery architecture. When is somebody who can get an answer going to ask what that means for the performance of that vehicle? quite obviously if we’re changing the power train and chassis...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

From my perspective, Steve has done a lot for Elon. And, without stating some things I can only semi verify, just to keep is very simple; UBS doesn’t change their position on a company as disruptive as Tesla for funsies. When this much old money (UBS) is invested, it is logically not super...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

no, it’s quite literally a SpaceX ethos. It’s repeated at hiring events and evident daily. Elon did not come solve our problems, we did. Daily, to the detail of design and manufacture. it’s marvelous to set this many engineers free. It’s why we want to be there and hate not being there. Just...

Steve does a lot behind the scenes but Gali and chamath deserve it for sure. and Ellison took a 1 bil position at pre-split and likely brought a lot of firepower that we will hear about in the future. I personally think UBS’ reversal and Ellison’s board position are interlinked.

it we had a Mount Rushmore of Tesla Bulls: Cathie, Ron Baron, Steve Jurveston, and maybe Larry Ellison in a decade?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Nobody wants to know how the sausage is made. At SpaceX we had an ethos of scrappiness. The results are amazing. But scrappiness is one letter away from crappiness. And when you have a team of hundreds of a large project, somebody ends up being less scrappy and more crappy. but the system...

love it. wonder if Tesla would push a SpaceX edition down the lineup. Model 3 “Full thrust” , “block 5” , etc and just make them class dominators

Heyas huge Tesla fans, own 2 wifey and I have a full industrial shop at home: laser mill 3D printer Wood shop Lathe software: coreldraw, solid works, etc and we’d like to know if Tesla owners have some thing they’d want for their car. do you have an idea of something you’d want in your...

apple is the golden god of walled gardens. So much of its revenue growth is guaranteed due to this. It is one of the safest places for money to be due to this.
  15. D

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

yeah it’s 20+ different substantial process/product improvements that will hit the consumer at different times. consider apple, who has a GIGANTIC pile of cash I love their products...but You give Elon money and he’s like, “we’re redefining this (extremely critical) industry” and it will be...

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see a lot of talk about the logistics of Tesla’s battery ambitions: they’re building two more US facilities? - (attached) I see you Tulsa and south Missouri.

that, opening a new factory within 15 months, bringing the 4th mass produced product online, and driving autopilot to another 5-10% of driving complexity is a lot. it just doesn’t seem like a lot when everything went well.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I mean... I expected some new batteries for semi, Cybertruck, and Roadster...which I didn’t expect to be in serious production next year. I was hoping we’d see an S option with plaid powertrain. A more thorough refresh would be cool. I was thinking like a “one last thing” could be a detailed...

    Ridiculously stupid active trade

Drop into close really deflated the balloon, but that’s inevitable. Still can surge if things move early. Hope the Fed doesn’t rain on the parade today. Probably need a catalyst to get things going strong enough in the right direction. Overall I’m pleased. I took a highly risky shot at S&P...

I feel this has been a theme (VW and Tesla software) - below is one example from 2019 I could find. While maybe unlikely, it is possible this has been going on for awhile. Volkswagen not interested in buying Tesla stake I don’t have the time right now (That article pared down the story) but I...

ya this is as crazy as gambling gets until somebody comes and shows me otherwise. but I’m not trying for 3% returns... I want 10,000x returns and imma just liveblog it here, fail or success, and with all evidence whether I’m right or wrong. but it’s $3k, I’m up 500k this year on one platform...

    Ridiculously stupid active trade

I made a separate thread instead of taking from a sticky thread. you’re free to comment, but I think the many many options traders that come here would appreciate the situation, and it may be helpful. and it isn’t loss porn, I’m up as of right now over 100% in 3 weeks. Just a bumpy road. if...

    Ridiculously stupid active trade

So. 3 weeks ago I decided to gamble on S&P inclusion and put 2 grand into Robinhood and 1 grand into Webull. I built the RH account, mainly by timing daily tech stocks including Tesla, to $37,000. Webull I just bought SLV and sat on it, and lost $30 bucks. I flipped at the exact best moments...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Something is pending. Not investment advice. Ill bet a Tesla share that something drops. this is the strongest single day I’ve ever seen in any stock where buyers literally aren’t caring what they’re paying. Just limited buyers to some subset. This is amazing buying pressure
  32. D

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Possibly! but to me it looks like large batches of shares being bid up because there aren’t enough available, and the buyers don’t care they’re adding multiple %s during big buys. idk I’m not a big boy I swing 200k-1mil. But when I do swing it I’m not giving away 1-2% during my buy order...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Any thoughts that some news is pending? I’ve been watching this stock daily for a very very very long time and today seems exceptionally bullish. : edit clarification : volume is low enough that it’s a move-able SP, but seems no sellers
  34. D

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It’s been held down enough. SP gonna pop - and I believe overshoot due to some % of S&P speculation (not debating whether warranted). It’s gonna break channel RN.

I feel the exact opposite. I could present specific facts/make a giant argument, but no sense in some monstrous reply. Smartphones replacement cycle in the US 2014-2023 | Statista I believe Tesla is encouraging people who traditionally have held onto vehicles to upgrade faster, and this will...

I think it’s about to run. on competitors has there been a product to doa faster than the ipace? I hope they learned a lot from that. NKLA down another 8% thus far on the day. I’m cool with Lucid saying, “we’re utilizing every detail of Tesla’s playbook because it worked” because they...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Guess we wait until close for stock raise details - Yes, although Elon was replying to a Teslarati article (Iirc) that seemed to give Peter more credit for the S than was due. I wasn’t sure if Peter was quoted as making those claims or if Teslarati made the claims.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I’m not trying to persuade, just my perspective. They sold 5 billion of stock in 3 days. That spigot is closed now. A stock purchase today is gambling whether 5 billion satisfies those so eager to buy or if they’re going back to the market.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I have had a feeling all week it was going to be a good morning. I still do. Like a really good one. Filled 5 billion making balance sheet gargantuan. I’m guessing market price was @ $420, given how quickly the buying pressure dropped until we dipped under 3 days later. Elon got 420 revenge...
  42. D

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It is also likely this buffer will be the S&P accumulation period. Every time a dip occurs the accumulation occurs. Shares from Tesla @ $420 or shares from the market below. S&P is coming within 21 days. The immediate cliff dive then excessive volume to hit 420 SP Is my proof.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Hi. Memes are fun. So are theories. Was it fun to see TSLA magnetized towards SP 420 on Friday, so much so Jim Cramer stated shock at buying pressure on Twitter? That’s silly, right? When Tesla made its secondary offering “at market price”, do you believe they had a target share price? If...
