So if I do the math, an average of 73,505Wh per mile for the past 30 miles = 2,205kWh. Either you have had a battery upgrade, or the display data is seriously glitched.
I was driving a few miles north of that location in deep snow in the North Georgia mountains about 10 months ago and did...
When I try the Merry X Mas Holiday Show in the latest release, the show doesn't run and it consistently causes a reboot of the car.
Anyone else having the same issue?
No not all, what I am saying is that the reported kWh for Trip B (reset each leg) divided by the rated miles consumed equaled 313 on every leg. In the example provided, the total kWh consumed as reported by the Trip B meter was 48.7 kWh. The actual rated miles consumed was 155.9 (starting...
Thanks for the reply. I am not sure if you agree or disagree with the conclusion that the energy meter is incorrect. I have Xs so I am familiar with the system and 100% charging etc.
This problem is repeatable and the energy meter total usage divided by the rated miles consumed equals 313...
I recently completed a 2,000 mile trip and logged a lot of data along the way. P90DL Sig X.
The error I am seeing is repeatable. On a non-stop leg, here is the data:
Actual miles: 139
Rated miles consumed: 155.9 (rated range at start of trip minus rated range at end of trip)
The car is rated...

The Ludicrous button is the same. You hold it in for 5 seconds and the time warp screen appears and the opt-in choice appears.
Once the battery warmed up, the battery and motor data is available on the small screen.
UPDATE: The car told me to call tech support about the...
I received an update today. After applying the update, I received notice that the update failed. I have had my other X for over a year and never encountered this. Anyone else?
Also, even though the update did not come through, the Ludicrous + feature is available. I love the opt out button.
This will be our second X. We took delivery of our Sig X on 12/23/2015. We were fortunate to be one of the very first Signature deliveries and have loved every minute with the car.
My wife and I were always racing to see who would get out of the house first so we could take the X, so we just...
Tesla matched the offer I received from CarMax (was $4,000 higher than Tesla's offer). By trading in, I only paid sales tax on purchase price of the Tesla less the trade-in amount, which saved another $2,500.
The tires have changed.
I have one of the first Sig Xs P90DL. My tires are Continental LX Cross Contact Sport. Front: 265/45R20. Rear: 275/45R20.
I just had a brand new P90DL loaner with Michelin LATITUDE SPORT 3 Front: 255/45R20. Rear: 275/45R20.
Recently, the X and my iPhone 6+ have not been linking when I get into the car. The only way to get it to link is to turn off and on he phone bluetooth. Anyone else having this issue?
I did some additional testing of the effect of speed upon range.
Rated Range: 250 miles - 335 Wh/Mile
55 MPH Range: 259 miles - 323 Wh/Mile
65 MPH Range: 229 miles - 366 Wh/Mile
75 MPH Range: 201 miles - 417 Wh/Mile
I doubled checked my video & notes from the testing and see that I entered the wrong number here. The rated is actually 335 wh/mile. This was determined by using energy graph and getting the actual range to overlap the rated range line over numerous tests. I am pretty confident in the number...
The rated Wh/Mile appears to 324 Wh/Mile in my car (P90DL). [Using the energy graph in the car.]
Using the 250 mile rated range of the car * the 324Wh/Mile, you get 81KW (leaving an inaccessible reserve of 9KW or 10%)
I have the backvue mounted just below the mirror box. The mirror is lower than the box so the blackvue hides well behind the mirror.
Yes, if switched, the parking mode would be useless as the camera would power down as soon as the car did.
The blackvue is wifi to the blackvue phone app only...
My son pointed out the number that they painted on the car just before the first run, is artfully smeared by the extreme acceleration of the car. The smear really represents just how fast this car is.
We took our Tesla Model X to the local drag strip. It is a 1/8th mile track.
They snickered and questioned if I really wanted to race "that".
By the end of the night, we had many converts and were drawing huge crowds around the car.
We raced anyone and everyone that would race us (some would...
I had a blackvue 650 installed. No power in the mirror box. Had to go behind the dash. There is also no room in channel glued to the windshield, so power and data from rear camera have to run next to the channel. For now, they are glued to the windshield, but the installer is working on a...
My driver's headrest has moved into the up position after the new firmware. I am not sure why and cannot find a way to make it move. I am very happy as I am tall and wanted it go up (the car is so smart it just knew that and did it for me). Drivers side up vs the passenger side down.
Both the Florida Sunpass and California FasTrak use RFID at 915 MHz. The Sunpass works through the windshield in Florida.
I would bet that Tesla technical support does not have the latest information on the X windshield specs and may be assuming that it is just like the S.
I have an X and have driven several model S. I would take the X over the S without blinking. The added utility of 6/7 seats, ability to tow, extra head room, BigSky windshield, cooled seats, falcon wing doors etc are all factors in favor of the X. The S has more cargo room if you need to fold...
I should have stated in my post that I did search for hidden SSIDs when looking for a wifi connection. I use inSSIDer to manage my wifi and it shows hidden signals.
I have searched for a wifi signal in my X and can not find a visible connection that the app could connect to. Possibly a future feature with a firmware update.
The 'and more' is really up to your imagination.
The Happier Camper 8 Weird and Usefull hitch accessories for your car
Note: Even my imagination could not come up with the 'Bumper Dumper'
On page 114 of the X manual, it states "The Model X USB Hub also offers a dedicated Wi-Fi connection. This connection allows passengers in the rear seating positions to change climate control settings using a unique Tesla smartphone app."
Does anyone have any details on the dedicated Wi-Fi...
The car will operate with the seats forward. It just gives you a warning that those seats are not locked and should not be occupied. I drove mine today with the seats forward.
For anyone in the Tampa Bay area that wants to see it, my wife and I will be taking our Model X to the Tesla meet up on Thursday at 4 pm at Quaker Steak & Lube in Pinellas Park.
