Yes, others are much more tolerant of white. In my humble opinion, you should mount the plates on a stock mount. Not something you can (easily) undo, so it would be nice to first find someone else's white Model 3 with black plates on a stock mount to confirm for yourself that it's a great idea.

Having read your note, I, too, rebooted the system when it refused to activate the Homelink, and it worked. While it's a less drastic step than reprogramming Homelink from scratch, I am not looking forward to doing this regularly. Maybe the issue was resolved in 2018.28.1, which I received today.

If they try anything with me, I can fall back on Progressive. If I sell the third car, I can go back to 21st. It was only the third car that made things awkward with them. Two drivers two cars they could handle, even with Model 3, nothing egregious.

If we're going to reminisce on all vanity plates we have owned, I put a plate on a leased C-class in the early 2000s that went HE METPO. One space is allowed in California, so I used it. I am not going to translate it as I am curious who might be able to decode it. A secret handshake of sorts.

I ended up going with Liberty. Not only did their April quote (from the Insure My Tesla days) hold, it went down by $15 once the VIN was plugged in. $1,942 for a year for two drivers, three cars. $1000 deductible, perfect record.

That's not exactly what I said. I have not made arrangements to add the car to the insurance -- or rather, to switch insurance as my current one will be bad with Tesla. A new car is automatically insured for one month under existing insurance. I will take care of this today. Or tomorrow.

My Homelink works, too, when it works. It's just that sometimes it decides not to work. I found that there is no need to reprogram it. It just started working again after taking a break for about a day. At least we didn't get a boring car.

I hope it is that way for me when I get 2018.26.x.
