I'm not the driver of this particular car though I've taken the Model Y on a few road trips. My daily driver is a Model 3. We also have a couple of Lexus SUV's in the family fleet so we are pretty demanding when it comes to build quality and reliability. So, what are your thoughts? Any issues? Anything you would like to see improved? You got me beat 124K miles![]()
Well??? We're waitingOur 2021 Model Y LR surpassed 125K miles last week. Once its parked for a few days on Xmas eve I plan to do the battery health test which I understand takes 24 hours. Will post the results here if folks are interested. Anyone out there with higher miles on a Model Y?

just curious, if not Tesla or Lexus, with which car(s) are you impressed?Overall the car enthusiast in me is not impressed (by Tesla or Lexus)
I missed my window to do the test and there didn't seem to be much interest here anyway. MY currently at 136K miles. I'll be able to test in early April.Well??? We're waiting
i love cars. i think i was just pointing out that in my experience lexus and tesla have just been really easy to live with as daily drivers.just curious, if not Tesla or Lexus, with which car(s) are you impressed?
The Y is driven almost every day. It’s charged from ~25% to exactly 90% every night with a Tesla 220v charger at 48A. On rare occasions it’s supercharged…less than 20 times total lifetime.Looking forward to the results. Also, pls post your charging habits. Charge to 80%, and I suppose everyday, at home charging etc.
Yes promise! It’s driven almost every day so it’s rare that we have a 24 hour period of availablity to run the test and I’m at home. It’s gonna happen this weekend!Promise to do the battery test this weekend?![]()
I’d run it way down…this way it won’t take 24 hours and waste electricity. I think mine was done under 10 hours starting at 8% charge. Also there was 0 benefit doing this for me. Really it’s just bad for the battery. No test. Perhaps because the battery was at 51%? Will run it down and try again in a few hours.
