My 2 day old Model 3 LR was rear ended on the freeway :-( My initial estimate to repair is $25,376.79. At this point I don't even want it repaired but have to go with whatever the insurance decides. Any advise from people in similar situations?

Wow. A seemingly drivable Model 3 after being rear ended and the repair will be $25k? That is insanity. Are collision shops gouging Tesla customers? Was the battery pack damaged? This is why my Tesla comprehensive/collision is more than my Ford Expedition, way too expensive to fix unless it is a cosmetic issue. My initial estimate to repair is $25,376.79
Are the quarter panels or suspension damaged? It looks like the point of impact was on/or below the bumper, and the trunk lid isn't bent.
What kind of vehicle hit you? $25K seems like a high estimate here.
Upload it to YouTube and share a private link here. This is the vehicle that hit me. I wish I could attach the video but it won't let me
Like I said in a previous post a few weeks ago, there seems to be a TON of rear ended Model 3's occurring .
Maybe, but I'm on two other car forums that I have never seen a rear ended post on....Might have something to do with this being a Tesla Model 3 forum.
