salvageThe question is will it still be under warranty since you messed with it yourself under warranty? I'm really confused why you'd do this?

Where did you get the media converter box and cable?Yes, I sent the RCM off to get cleared and it is re-installed. I went to use Toolbox last night for the first time and realized the interface cable I purchased will not work so I ordered a 100-1000Base-T1 Media Converter H-MTD and cable today... and hopefully it will be here next week.
Which software, vcfront, vcbat or MCU via toolbox?Have you tried reloading the software?
The MCU in service modeWhich software, vcfront, vcbat or MCU via toolbox?
You said in post 10 that it is still under warranty which it won't be if the title is salvaged.salvage

This is not relevant to resolving the root case it is only revenant with regards to the cost of repair, which I am willing to pay for.
Do you understand?
I am very new to the world of Tesla so my knowledge is very limited. But on my 2021 Model S, the screens went black after an accidental airbag deployment. Even after replacing the pyro fuse the screens were black... and the ECU would not communicate with Toolbox. I replaced the VCBatt and it didn't change anything. I replaced the VCFront and that did the trick. I reinstalled my original VCBatt and everything is back to normal. I believe in most cases, the screens will remain working even with a blown pyro fuse. The pyro fuse is an easy change... just a little scary. =-)
The RCM had crash history so I was going to remove it to have the memory cleared. I was having trouble removing the plugs on the RCM so I unbolted it and as soon as I moved the module, it detected a crash and deployed the airbags.
Not at ALL!!! The noise was pretty spectacular. The shop that supposedly "repaired" the car after the accident, installed the LH curtain airbag on the RH side and vise versa and didn't have all the fasteners attached. So when the airbags deployed, one of the loose fasteners flew up and shattered the panoramic roof glass as well. It has been a COSTLY mistake that could have been prevented in 30 seconds by unplugging the LV battery.
New VCFront from Tesla or used one? So, based on examples in this thread, it seems there might be some safety feature in these VC controllers that cuts some LV power when airbags are deployed. New controller and they work again. Maybe controllers could be erased like RCM.I am very new to the world of Tesla so my knowledge is very limited.
