After a ship (with Teslas) dock at Southampton; how long does it take before the first delivery? Like one day? Or a week? Thanks.

About a week from port to delivery depending on time slots available to the depot.

…Speculation is these aren’t given out unless cars are being assigned to prevent expiry…

This is what Tesla advisor told me on the phone last week. My trade in is valid until mid May and I know now that I’m not going to receive my Tesla by then. Was asking if we can cancel so I can get a new one. He said that it doesn’t make sense now as I’m not going to get an offer until the car is assigned.

Ah. Forgot to mention. Mine is at Southampton. So hoping that it will be more instant as the cars do not have to be transported to the depot as such...

Lucky you - I would assume it may still need upto a week as the car would need some element of preparation work (cleaning etc)

Not seeing LRW in mine yet but that change does suggest we have a VIN allocated but it’s not visible yet.

Have others seen this change before VIN allocation? Thanks

Yeah if it rains then the cleaning is done.....this is Tesla

This might not be true. I ordered mine in March and received the trade-in stuff 5 days later. EDD is still May 22.

Is your trade-in a tesla? Seems these are given earlier, perhaps as they will resell them rather than sending to auction.

No Tesla. It was an Audi.

No it doesn’t mean You have a Vin allocated. It means You still haven’t been matched to a car at all yet.
I hade that code ”false” for two month before I got a match.

It was showing as true before Friday so something changed. Some Google-fu on this shows others had this just before the number appeared.

It has changed very recently. I also got my trade in in March. With current estimated delivery dates for new order giving you a trade in offer wouldn’t make sense.

Yes, that’s because You lost your matched car. I had the same in february. I even got a Vin for a few days. But all of a sudden I got the ”false” back for almost a month more

I was never matched to a car, it had always shown as true until Friday. Also the trade-in valuations coming in for everyone over the last few days is also a sign things are moving.

We’re going off topic but there is a lot of correlation online that true = no vin. False = vin

I’m assuming their system has allocated cars, but not yet ready to push that update out to consumers yet.

The ship movements are not as predictable at the moment. I don’t think we can be sure there isn’t a ship moving already but neither can we be sure there is one either!
