Just downloaded 2024.8.7 and took it for a spin.
So with these matrix lights (which worked great) do I now just left high beams on all the time? As I assume the matrix element doesn’t work when the high beam is off.
Oddly, when it adds a super charger, it breaks and makes no sense. No super charger stop it works it correctly.
EDIT: Now that is working correctly. Strange. Great feature though.
Update 2023.6.8 fixes the steering issue.
I updated my car when it was sitting in a tesla Centre the night before the steering rack was going to be replaced. The update fixed the issue therefore the replacement was cancelled.
Tech told me it was fixed in 2023.6.6, I updated to .8.
The update fixed an issue a bunch of us had with a steering problem we got from update 2023.2. They have played with steering rack firmware's in the update, its plausible it could be different.
My car is at Tesla and the rack was to be replaced today. I spoke with them this morning to make them aware to check the steering following the update last night and they have confirm it fixed the issue.
He also confirmed their notes say the issue was fixed in 2023.6.6
Dropped my car off at tesla this evening for a rack replacement tomorrow. The car just started to download this update. Would be good to know if yours fixed the problem.
They are also replacing something else in the car which I want done. I am expecting a call from them today, I will ask if they can push the update to my car.
Reported that 2023.6.8 fixes the notched steering issue.
I run my car on a VPN to Denmark to see if it will pick up the update, it doesnt, don't waste your time trying lol.

Mine is terrible at all speeds. 60-70mph I can’t keep it straight, I have to keep ticking left to right as it skips a notch. AP is the only way to keep it remotely comfortable.
I thought the same, but I think it’s more the case if they might not know the exact cause yet, ie which revision of hardware and firmwares. There could be multiples.
Part of the tests today were temperature based. It was explained to me sometimes the steering becomes faulty/notched with faulty temperature sensors. Maybe linked to your issue. As where mine didn’t resolve even at higher temperatures.
I guess not all can be delayed for a software update if...
The technician was very helpful, nice bloke too. He took it for a drive and done all their diagnostics for a few hours. End result, rack needs replacing. I will post the outcome following rack change.
Having read other groups online, it seems some are more noticeable than others. Mine is very...
Maybe it doesn’t impact all single chip racks. Just some.
Article suggesting single chips being used since 2021.
Could just be a certain revision.

Got appointment booked for Thursday for them to check if its software or hardware related. From my prospective, it doesnt matter which one it is, I want it fixed ASAP.
I did a 100 miles round trip yesterday, it was awful and sometimes scary. The only thing that kept it feeling ok was autopilot.
It seems to be some cars from the Aug/Sep 2022 Shanghai batch that are having the issues.
Some digging from members are suggesting they were fitted with single chip steering racks, rather than double chip. Seems the update and rack firmware are no playing ball.
My steering has become heavy and...
I don't know how many locations, but it seems to move anything from 1cm to inch's. I suspect there is a large number of locations to cover the whole screen.
Not sure if mentioned, I noticed today the pin to drive pad now moves around the screen to help prevent build up of finger print grease on the same locations.
Amazon added Fire TV to the Echo Show 15 recently and youre able to side load apps. I have put Fully Kiosh on there and runs great. Motion worked but doesnt turn the screen off, just black. But have set an automation that has Alexa silently tell the show to turn display off and comes on with motion.
Im currently using a Echo Show 15 inch for testing. Considering putting it on my wall. Can get loads on it being 15 inch. Put cameras, Octopus IO, Tesla stats, heating, Easee, and helpful home stuff etc.
Not that I have noticed.
I guess you will use a bit more mashing the pedal, but I wouldn’t have thought as much of a loss as the MYP vs MRLR.
I’d say meet in the middle of MYP and MYLR at worse given it’s 0.7ish second between both on AB.
Also to note in terms of performance, AB puts the MYLR...
I upgraded to AB on a MY LR, I personally think it’s worth every penny.
You can really feel extra pull in the fronts, and the acceleration curve seems to be more linear, making it easier to accelerate more smoothly quickly when not slamming the pedal.
Plus, it’s noticeably faster and sticks...
For anyone that doesn’t like the wait for the car to turn on to unlock a cable, I programmed a Shelly Button (stuck to wall) with HA so when pressed indoors the car turns on and unlocks the cable by the time I get out to it.
I have my button set as:
1 press = opens/close garage door
2 press =...
If on 3 pin, she will take from the battery and 3 pin at the same time if it requires more power. There seems to be some form of balancing. Nevertheless, I personally like how much power she takes, as she defrosts fast.
The heating system will take whatever you feed it.
When I have the heating/defrost on while plugged in and max charge limit hit. The car pulls 7.5kw from my charger just for the heating system. She is power hungry , however she is a lot more powerful than 2x fan heaters, she can throw out a LOT...
I noticed a Model Y on Wu Wa's video with a black roof. Could this be a possible Model Y refresh? Or just dodgy roof spraying!? Spoiler on the back so its a P model.

Thanks Browellm.
I have reconnect device or disconnect device in the app. I assume reconnect will de-authorise the car and re-run?
Edit: had to disconnect.
Thanks again!
Any of you smart people know what I should do in this situation.
7kw charger needs replacing so limited to granny charger. Do I need to do another test charge on the granny so IO learns the new charge speed (if so how?). Also would I leave the tariff and have to come back on, on the new tariff...
Car without USS should have new cameras from Samsung.
Oddly when comparing the photo above to the below twitter, the above looks like the original cameras…. The new cameras have a much larger lens given the large increase in MP.
Nevertheless, I doubt it matters which camera they are if Tesla...
MYLR are the same Matrix lights as MYP.
Afaik, only real difference now between the MYLR and MYP are the differences specified on the order page as they all come from Shanghai. Wheels, tyre, pedals, spoiler, lower suspension, rear motor etc.
