2023.26 branch and FSD?

Hi..

I seem to be in the minority running 2022.20.9 with FSD 11.3.6 on 2023 MYLR.

2023.26.1 and .3 are tagged with FSD 11.3.6, but I never got invite to update. Why is that?

Now it appears that .6 -.8 versions on 2023.26 branch don't even have FSD according to Tesla Fi chart. Seems weird. Need to be cautious about updating anything that would loose my FSD.

I seem to be stuck in the middle again. I'm to advanced to get 11.4 FSD. And because I'm running 11.3.6, I'm not getting new branch updates either. How is this going to play out?

Tesla updates are rarely well understood. There is no one here that can give you a good reason. I'm on a 2020 LR with FSD Beta on 2023.20.9 as well, while my wife with a 2020 LR without FSD Beta is now on 2023.26.8. No idea why except maybe that maybe it doesn't have FSD Beta? Some people have said that 26.8 has FSD Beta, but TeslaFi says it does not. So…I just don't know either.

The only thing you can do is just wait for future updates.

I’m in the same boat as OP.

Used to be on “early access” FSD Beta branches, up to 11.4.4, but got tired of being on 2023.7.20 (way behind public releases) and wanted newer software features, so I created a service request asking to leave early access.

They sent me 2023.20.8, which I installed, then the car updates to 20.9 later that day. Both version had FSD 11.3.6, which is fine. This was over a month ago now.

However I haven’t been offered any new updates since - none of the 2023.26 versions. I thought that’s because this branch didn’t contain FSD Beta, which I’m now learning isn’t true (c’mon TeslaFi, get it right!)

Any suggestions on what I can do? I’ve emailed [email protected] and [email protected] several times, asking to be removed from early FSD Beta, but to no avail.

PS: I bought FSD with my car purchase, not after the fact and not as a subscription.

The reboot method, push in and hold both stock buttons, reboot twice and then tap software and check update
Does not force an update
Think 11.4.7 is going to rhe 20.x/11.4.4 betas and then holding
Us on 26.x/11.3.6 are stuck/has us holding
Elon has the developers tweaking 11.4.x (maybe no additional effort beyond 11.4.7 therefore they are on hold)
Most efforts are on v12 for December release

On 08/30/2023 I updated my M3 with 2023.26.11 and it included FSD 11.4.4
I have not been able to update FSD to the newer versions since then.
You have the latest available software version on the production branch. Tesla will not switch your car to the development branch because that branch is running 2023.7.30, which is lower numbered software than what you have. Under current practice, Tesla does not install lower numbered software on a car.

FSD is not a separate software download.
