I’ve got Vin I believe, they sent it to me so I could get insurance.

don’t think you want to post your vin if that could be it

I ordered white 7 seater on 3/15/19. No vin yet but eta just popped up today - 1/20- 2/04!

I’ll probably postpone a month or two because of trade-in issues and also I want to see seats in person before finalizing.

Hmmm that's odd. It seems other people have ETAs, but I ordered early this year so my account has basically been on hold for a while and I've never had an ETA. I just hope it's not still on hold.
If I were you I would call the delivery specialist. Some older model Y 7 Seat models can have a vin matching date far in the future that has not been adjusted. I placed my order minute one of the unveil, and the dS said it showed Jan 2022 as match date. (which was probably an old placeholder)

This poor advisor that got stuck with me... I have emailed him at least half a dozen times since the 7 seater went into production. I just contacted him again to confirm my vin matching date isn't still set for the distant future.

...I'd definitely become the high maintenance customer.

But hey, if Tesla actually gave SOME KIND OF visibility to the process or what's going on, I wouldn't have to be so needy!

I do not yet have a VIN, but my delivery specialist has been in contact with me recently. My details are...

Day 1 (3/15) 7 Seat reservation holder
As soon as able, sometime last year, I filled in trade-in information and financing details which moved my order to a faux-waiting-on-delivery state.

Delivery specialist reached out recently, and I provided updated details around trade-in, as well as getting my order updated to reflect the more recent pricing (and having tow package added).

Current status, is waiting on new finance application (old one expired as it was quite a while ago) as well as the VIN that is needed for insurance (policy information has already been provided to delivery specialist to kickstart that).

Update from my advisor:

I can see that we have you matched to a pre-production vehicle and so you are in the que for a custom build.

The ETA's are generated by an automated system and are not necessarily accurate/ change from time to time but I can confirm you're assigned to a vehicle and as soon as it leaves the factory, we will better be able to forecast your estimated delivery date.

So, that's promising!

I think I may be in the same boat. I placed my order for the 7 seat MY on 3/15/19. I had got a call from Tesla mid-last year telling me to prepare for delivery. I let the rep know I had the 7 seat reservation. She said she overlooked that part but did see it in the order. She said she would make a note that the order was for a 7 seat. I’m wondering if it was placed on hold until 2022. How would I go about contacting the delivery specialist or service advisor to confirm?

Find your local store/service center, select Sales when you call, and the rep that answers can help you. Leave a message if they don't answer (typically just outside of business hours) and they'll get right back to you. I just went through this last week here in Seattle.

Thanks for the info. I called and spoke to a service advisor. She said nothing is on hold for the order and that it’s just waiting to match a VIN. I asked if there was a estimated delivery date and she said by the end of March, which is when SoCal gets their deliveries. I’m hoping for delivery to be a lot sooner.

Yeah, I got the same response from my advisor. “2-6 weeks but worst case before end of March”

I think that’s just a CYA answer, and of course doesn’t really answer your question. :(
