Wow reading all of the responses by Tesla owners defending paint defects and misaligned panels by new buyers is bizarre. Does it run - then accept delivery. Oh, and cosmetic defects aren’t covered by Tesla in a new car - that’s okay too. Sorry, these are not acceptable to any sane normal buyer and thus the numerous postings.

I hear the China factory vehicles being produced have much less defects. Maybe import one of those instead.

Tesla knows that the majority of their customers are into the tech and probably dont mind some paint defects or panel gaps here and there. So the few people that do mind are not really offered any options other than "take it or leave it"..because they know the next person will want it and will take it.
Not saying its right...but thats the way it will be until they either fix the issues on their own or the demand goes down.

Forums tend to be as mean to just about any car or product. You will always hear tales of troubles, because people need to find a place to vent. Reality is that there are often hundreds or thousands that have no issues whatsoever

Yeah, I'd be scared to buy one new. If I bought new, I'd want it to be perfect. Used is another story tho if it's at the right price. Hoping the model Y will see a lot of people trading in 3's so I can find one for a good price sooner rather than later.

Yep, looks like one of the robots closed the trunk lid before he could get out of the way, oh well!
less than zero? I have absolutely nothing wrong with my 3. none of the 3's I looked at had any defects (they were November builds..mostly white)
panel gaps are super even all around too.
