Account page changed from 'Prepare for Delivery' to asking for details

Since they seem to be going by the most expensive cars first, if you don't order FSD when you place your order doesn't that mean that your order will be filled After everyone that that Did order it with FSD?
Although saving on yearly registration fees would be nice if you got FSD after you got the car.

I changed my order from 2/2/2020 (in happier financial times a whole two weeks ago) from AWD LR (Blue, black interior, base 19" wheels) to Performance with FSD in late February, and then went back to the original order sans FSD because I wanted to delay delivery till we're past this shelter-in-place situation.

I got the same web page update that others have noted, and I did not get any email or text. This could be a Tesla website glitch like that in late February, or they are really trying to push sales at EOQ. (Trouble is, how would one stay >6 feet from the delivery specialist and others at the delivery centers?)

I do know that the new inventory of MS and M3 is growing in SoCal, another ominous sign given the current situation.

Delivery coordinator out of Las Vegas said the plan is still to deliver before the end of the month, but no VIN yet.

A friend of mine said he saw a white Model Y being loaded up with luggage in the parking lot of our local Tesla store...hopefully not my Y being used as their shuttle vehicle.

So if you don't have a VIN yet how did you contact the delivery coordinator, and why do they expect delivery by the end of the month? Curious as I have a Red LR AWD / black / 20" wheels pre-ordered, all info loaded, financing arranged, etc.. and still waiting on a VIN - "drafting" is taking too long...

For those of you in SC, doesn't look like home delivery is an option. Looks like you have to pick it up from the NC location.

Yes, it seems to be that way. I am here in Summerville, SC and only option is pickup from NC.

The Tesla Las Vegas office called me today. My car has been built and is waiting for a truck to haul it to MA (LR/AWD/20”/FSD/Blue-Black).
She said to expect a text within the next 7 days to schedule the delivery date and that I should get the car “before the end of the month“. I was too excited to ask whether the Shelter in Place order or plant shutdown would affect shipping. I hope not. Fingers crossed.
BTW, those of you who don’t have a VIN, have you looked for it on your your MVPA which is located at the very bottom of the Next Steps page?

No MVPA at the bottom of my page. Stuck on insurance as I have no vin and it says PA requires vin (which it actually does not)

Tesla changed the home delivery distance from 160 miles to 220 miles, My MX was home delivery a little over 12 month ago now we have to drive to Charlotte to get the MY. Even google maps is showing 220 miles from Mt.P. to the SC Charlotte, Tesla found a shorter but 30 min longer route with 195 miles and denied home delivery, pretty disappointing!

Well, this is my first Tesla, so I'm not sure. But I was assuming you sign final docs when you take delivery and that's when you hand over the check? Doesn't sound to be the case. To your point, if they're asking for money without a delivery date or VIN, that seems a bit much.

Don’t pay yet! I was confused by that message too. So I called Tesla Las Vegas and the brick and mortar Tesla dealer in Dedham MA where I will take delivery. Both said I can pay by check the day of delivery. But they prefer you pay online a day or two before delivery. So I’m waiting to be contacted by an actual sales advisor and a confirmed delivery date before paying.

It’s been over a week since I confirmed all my info for pick up at the Rockville service center too... no vin, no mvpa... I spoke to a Tesla delivery advisor this morning said they are still waiting on a vin for me... who knows at this point
