So while everyone is going 20's on their new M3's, what about the commuters who are concerned about range, ride and the overall cost of new shoes with lots of rubber?? What about the commuter that just wants it to look super cool and still function?
That's where I went and here is my story...I would like to hear what you think!
It is possible to have a super cool, sporty, staggered setup without sacrificing weight or a ton of range!!
What if I told you that you could get staggered 19" wheels and tires that weighed exactly the same as the stock 18" range extender rims with hub caps??
Check this out...
Avant Garde M621 Flow Forged wheels. 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear. 245/40 front, 275/35 rear. 49 lbs and 50 lbs.
Stock rims with hub caps were 49 lbs. (ok so not exact but the 275's added 1 pound...that's some serious tire BTW.)
As we can see, the sidewall is not too small so no worries about blown tires or ride concerns and they still look very sporty and very much functional as far as weight is concerned. In the small commute I had to get them installed and drive back home, it was very similar as far as usage. I'll have more feedback on that in the future when I have had more time to drive with them.
Let me know your thoughts and thank you to Josh at Get Your Wheels. These are awesome and absolutely fit the bill when I said I wanted form and function but still keep the sporty cool factor of a staggered setup!
Enjoy and post below. Thanks.
