Anyone Else Worried About Not Getting Delivery in December?

I went into production today or yesterday (not sure which as I've never gotten an email regarding confirmation, delivery date, production etc)

I'm in Nevada if that helps any of you

Ordered 11/08
Confirmed 11/15
Vin Assigned 11/16
Put in que 11/16
Went into production 12/8

No idea when delivery will be. Will update when I know.

My hope is to pay for mine in 2016 even if it's delivered in 2017. (But I'm paying cash)
If I don't go into production this week I'll contact my DS to ask

Why would you want to pay for it in 2016 to take delivery in 2017? (That wouldn't enable you to legally take the tax credit because you haven't put the vehicle into service which I believe is one of the requirements.) The condition is: "For purposes of the 30D credit, a vehicle is not considered acquired prior to the time when title to the vehicle passes to the taxpayer under state law."

So maybe you could take the credit if Tesla let you title the vehicle before you take possession. (Which I think would be unlikely, as what would happen if the car gets damaged/totaled while it is still in Teslas possession? I wouldn't think their insurance would cover it as it isn't their car anymore.)

I ordered around thanksgiving and taking delivery in SoCAL. The DS keeps telling me I will get delivery in December though the production has not started yet..Looking at the delivery tracking SS on google drive , there are a bunch of us who ordered a the same time..What are your DS telling you? and do you think there is still a chance of delivery in the next 12-15 days (factoring in Christmas holiday)

Mine says Late January. ...:-()

After going through this process, I now fully acknowledge the dashboard is not accurate at all.

My dashboard still shows an estimate delivery date of Dec 14-21.
I have a confirmed delivery date for Friday.
My DS also confirmed my car is already on the lot and has been since this past weekend (I couldn't get there to pick it up :()

LOL, talking about dashboard. I picked up my car last week and my dashboard still says "You will be contacted by a Tesla delivery specialist to arrange for payment and delivery of your Model S.". As a result of that, I still haven't been able to use the Tesla app as it thinks I don't have the car. Starting to get little pissed at this, but at least I have the car, so I just go drive :) Hoping all of users comes soon too - don't trust the dashboard.

Does your dashboard still say you are in production?

Thanks for info.
I emailed my DS today to see if he knows where my car is.

I'd love to get it before Christmas

My Dashboard says I'm in transit with Delivery 12/19 to 12/26
But I know of others who are in my city picking up this Saturday and others told they'll pick up 1-2 weeks after me, all of us with similar time frames for when our car finished production

It would be nice if Dashboard and email was synced better (or at all, since I've never received an email)

No, it's currently on "Your Tesla is undergoing preparation for delivery"
It said "In Production" for a couple days after I got confirmation it was in transit though.
My DS called to set up a pickup date 3 days after my dashboard changed to in production.

I don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but I confirmed a week after you, and went into production a week before you. I was in production for 1-2 days. You should have a shorter transit time though.

Most Model S's only take 2 to 5 days in production from what I see in the Model S Order and Delivery spreadsheet. I am starting my 8th day with the car showing it is still in production. Hopefully it is in transit to the Service Center.

I wonder if that's actual or indicated as well. Mine was in production for 1 day based on emails being triggered. 2 days based on when I got the email to when the DS called. 5 days based on the dashboard. Either way, I hope you'll get yours soon!

I have never gotten an e-mail from Tesla so far to tell me my car was in the production queue or when it went into production. There is definitely a disconnect with the dashboard being accurate and at least me not getting e-mails. They have my correct e-mail address so I should be getting the e-mails.

Waiting on my S 90D too with order and confirmation same day, Nov 21.

Dashboard still showing late Dec - Jan, and recently flipped from nothing under "what's next" to "confirmed and scheduled for production"

I'm starting to believe the ultra white premium seats I ordered are holding things up...

If my baby didn't enter production today. I don't think I'll see it this year. Just a feeling since it seems to take 2 weeks to get delivered. Since that's the case I'm going to pay to mod my configuration. Adding premium audio and dropping DC. Going nuts I am.
