Anyone Else Worried About Not Getting Delivery in December?

Waiting on my S 90D too with order and confirmation same day, Nov 21.

Dashboard still showing late Dec - Jan, and recently flipped from nothing under "what's next" to "confirmed and scheduled for production"

I'm starting to believe the ultra white premium seats I ordered are holding things up...

My S90D just completed production today. It has premium ultra white seats, so I don't think those are holding you up.

I confirmed on 11/15 and am in Nor Cal.

I feel all your pain. I have 2 friends who ordered their MS 1 week before I did and they picked up their cars last Wednesday. My DS said mine is on rail transportation and scheduled to arrive in Alabama on the 20th, then 2-3 days to be trucked to me here in Northern VA, he thinks I will get it the last Friday of the year, ugh scared about cutting it close.

Ordered 11/7, confirmed 11/14, VIN 11/15. Production started 12/2, and is still in production. That's 16 days and counting now. DS says it's still in production, and we already arranged delivery to be on 1/4. Very strange.

I'm in a similar situation. Ordered 11/1, confirmed 11/8, VIN 11/9. According to My Tesla page, production started 12/1 and nothing has changed since. No updates from Tesla as I watch car after car get built, transported and delivered all over the country that were ordered later than mine.

feel your pain. Also waiting on a Houston delivery. Looking at the tracker, it looks like a good amount of us waiting in Texas are in the same shoes

I've also been in production since 12/2. DS said that the estimated delivery would be this week (12/19) but clearly that's not happening.

I am having the similar issue. My order was placed after yours on 11/18, I confirmed it immediately. I got an e-mail from Tesla saying that my order was confirmed. Eleven days later, I got another e-mail from Tesla saying again it was confirmed.

My car went into production on 12/9 and on 12/10 the dashboard said that 5 of 5 tasks were complete. I called the delivery specialist and she said that it should be off the production line in 4-5 days. Eleven days later, 12/19, it is still saying it is in production and 5 of 5 days are complete. To make matter's worse, my delivery specialist just quit last Friday to accept another position. I was told that I would get the car before the end of the year but it is looking like that may not happen.

Before I ordered the car I asked the deliver specialist could I get the car before the end of the year and she said yes. I told her if it was not possible I would wait to December to order it so I would get a 2017 instead of a 2015 Model S90D. Looks like I may not be able to write off the $7,500 until 16 months from now and I will get a 2016 instead of a 2017.

I looked at the Model S delivery spreadsheet and cars before and after mine was ordered have delivery dates.

Do you get a periodic paycheck? Just reduce your withholdings by the 7500 spread across 2017 so that it is taken over the year rather than when you file taxes in April 2017. You don't wait one full year, you just adjust your federal withholdings. Most likely the new DS will possibly tell you to "do the paperwork and pay in 2016" in order to "qualify" for the tax credit even if delivery is 2017 - which is not correct based on IRS laws.

Another Austin customer checking in here. Is your DS Kristal? It looks like all Austin deliveries are slower than Houston for vehicles manufactured around the same dates. I was told my vehicle had completed production and entered QA on 12/8 but silence since then. The portal shows still in production. Many of my questions have been met with minimal or no response.

JTG, Kristal's last day at Tesla was last Friday. I called today and talked to Kristal's manager and she said that my car should ship next week and hopefully will arrive before the end of the year. I will see if I can send you a private message with the manager's phone number. I asked her to send me a message with her name but I have not received it yet.

Hopefully you car will be on the same truck and we get them the same day.

Bonaire I recently retired and have some income this year that was not taxed. I would rather write a check to the government for $7,500 instead of $15,000. Thanks for your suggestion. I have thought about your suggestion regarding paying in 2016 if necessary. I don't know it it will work but I will ask.

Just got the email saying "Your Tesla is complete," but MyTesla page still says that it's currently still in production. The email also says that delivery is to be expected between 1/7 and 1/21, but as I said previously I have already made a delivery date with my DS on 1/4. Honestly this whole process is just very weird, especially since the people in the Tesla store the day I ordered were confident that I would receive it a few days-week before Christmas.
