I assumed J1772 adapters would be a dime a dozen and thought I’d just grab a couple extras from Amazon. It turns out I cannot find anything online, other than the OEM Tesla units. At $95 they seem way overpriced. There are a few on Ebay for a little less but they’re still pricey. Is this not a thing in the aftermarket ecosystem?
The car comes with one which most folks just leave with the car- so I suppose need for multiples hasn't been enough to create demand
I agree they are pricey, but to be honest, I'd be apprehensive in buying a cheap Chinese knock off for something that has so much current pass through it to my $70k car.
Over the last year I've sourced two J1772 adapters off of eBay for $50 each. They are genuine Tesla parts AFAICT.
