I really do think we're going to end up with a record quarter of deliveries, they'll just happen differently and be allocated throughout. We might see regular batches soon.

The cynic in me thinks that they are holding up the Q1 M3 RWDs - when they were selling for $60k hoping we’ll all get pissed off, cancel & order Y’s.

If that’s their plan, I’ve got news for them…. And it’s all bad.
Even if you get the Y, just get the 3 and sell it at current sale price of 65k. The buyer wins and so do you. Even another 5k would be fine even.

It would be a bad strategy because if Tesla actually got me to the point where i was so pissed that i cancelled my M3, i can tell you now that i would not be ordering a MY or any other Tesla for that matter. They may have the best cars but I'd still boycott them for good and buy from their competitors.
When did you order?Well I got my rego renewal for my current ICE car ... I changed the renewal period to 3 months so it will expire in early March.
Model 3 RWD order EDD Feb - May ... Will I have to pay the rego on the old car again?
Such suspense with this waiting room!

In my experience Perthies always have a slightly mad look in the eye.the crew from Perth are starting to get that look in the eye that bodes ill for anyone silly enough to say 'it was worth the wait'.
