Don Juan is powering on - traveling at a sprightly 18kn. She's sitting about 1.5m lower in the water than when she was empty on the way north to Shanghai.

Today's factoid: Don Juan has space for 5,846 cars. The standard measure used for a car space is known as RT 43 and is 7.38975 sqm. It's named after the RT43 Toyota Corona:

This was the first mass production car to be shipped in a specialised car carrying vessel.
18kts is cranking along, probably using regenerative breaking all the way going down hill also… hopefully it’s going too fast and goes straight past Brisbane. Or it doesn’t get held up there like BA and GC.

Those coronas were rad.

Are there e-charger cards perhaps?
unfortunately not (at least through Smart Salary) would be great if they could provide the various RFID cards for chargers and have any of that charging go directly into the pre-tax amount automatically.

I guess all of these organisations will eventually make it out of the dark ages

I have a mate who leases his EV6 through smart salary.. he was able to organise for a small amount added fortnightly and claims this on public charging when he uses it. You just have to log in and do the leg work though every time you want to pay for it pre-tax.

I got offered them too, but declined. The monthly maintenance fee would be more than I’d spend. Speaking of which, ULP back up to $2.20 this morn just in time for xmas

I questioned the monthly maintenance fee ($19/month) and the chap I spoke to (at smart salary) ended up waiving it for me. You should ask your rep because really, what warrants a $19/monthly charge for 'maintenance' on a Tesla?

You get it back though. Any unused ends back in your pocket.
What he said, my last NL was in budget surplus and I got it all back after closing off the lease.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not a financial advisor and this is not financial advise.

This time around I will still be paying a monthly operating costs in order to build up a kitty and use it on the car later on.

for example:
- Acceleration boost (counts towards the car, hoping I can use it for this if I can provide a receipt)
- PPF (maybe after a couple of years into the NL)

All of this money is already going to be deducted from my salary pre-tax.
