received the txt message today from Tesla. One day after things changed in the app. Build date is 14/04, order date 2 Dec 22

VIN showed up today after completing the registration details. Txt and email also came through.

But no final invoice yet so don't know the build date. I was told the car hasn't landed yet, so probably not a cancelled order.

So safe to say all the people getting their TBD dates/ Hidden VINs recently, we won't get the UMC.

I took delivery of our MY RWD 2 days ago on Thur 20th April. Order date was 15th Aug and build date was 9th March. We did not get a UMC in the car.

"is_vin_assigned" doesn't show for me, either. But, hey, you might be lucky and the delay will allow Tesla to drop the price enough to get you under the Qld government rebate limit.

There is a household income threshold so I don't qualify for the Qld rebate even if the Y was under 68k. Thing that annoys me is that if Tesla was a bit more transparent and fair about the car allocation process I would have happily travelled to Sydney to pick it up. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth when people who have ordered months after me are getting their car before me.

My purchase is via a business, so would be eligible for the scheme.

A friend that took delivery of her MYRWD recently, ordered in January. She didn't receive any notifications from Tesla until about one month ago she got a text in the morning with her VIN. Later that day she received another text saying she could pick up the vehicle in 4 days time. Strange.

Do Tesla give the option to fit custom number plates?

I was told in Canberra they only fit the stock standard plates. They don't even fit Plastic plates with different colour schemes.
I am not after any special letters or anything.

They used to, but not anymore. You'll have to visit your local Dept of Transport after the car arrives.
I believe they make an exception if you're trading in a vehicle and want to keep the plates.

Hi Ron,
The description in the Minister's media release mentions that businesses can claim up to 5 times per year. The eligibility announcements will be firmed up in the near future, but I think it is safe to say that businesses are eligible. No MY is cheap enough at the moment, but it is SO close!

Someone I know in Vic Early Sep just got a VIN.. She only noticed when she logged in to cancel Just brought some thing else.
I love to take her VIN

Same here. looks like it’s going to be a long wait for the long range. Hope there is movement from next month although according to one SA it is more likely to be June/July.
