AutoPilot 2 Delivery Thread

Planning on ordering a second MX for our family. We're debating purchasing the Full Self Driving option if that's what needed to insure that all 8 cameras are installed on the car at the factory, rather than risking rattle/interior issues being caused by adding 4 cameras through a service center retrofit. There are so many threads out there so I thought this would be a good place to ask........ When I read the description for Enhanced Autopilot, it sounds like cars shipping will have (at least 4) cameras, the upgraded ultrasonic AND the new 40X power NVidia computer. But does anyone know if all 8 of the cameras (making the car fully autonomous ready (as Tesla is stating) will be shipped with the car? Or will it be 4 cameras + a wiring harness for a future retrofit to add the 4 cameras? For those of you who have delivery specialist assigned to your build, can you ask them please?

Sterling Anderson (Director of Autopilot Programs Tesla) confirmed on twitter that all vehicles will have the hardware:

Hey Everyone, just a heads up on change of status and automated emails from Tesla regarding change of status. I noticed that my car with AP 2.0 went into production on 04 November by logging into My Tesla. I finally received the automated "We have started building your Tesla" email at 1:22 AM Pacific Time on 08 November.

Can you give us a few more details about your order, such as when you placed the order, when you confirmed, the requested delivery date, model, etc.?

Ordered June 18, confirmed June 25. I was hopeful for updates and asked to have the car delivered no earlier than 07 November. Around mid-October, when signing into My Tesla, my delivery estimate changed from late October-early November to November-early December. Then the announcement for AP 2.0 occurred. My official and automated message from Tesla regarding the modification for the addition of Enhanced Autopilot came in on October 27. After chatting with my DS, he was certain that my car would go into production "early November," despite My Tesla indicating a November-early December delivery. And then it went into production according to My Tesla before the automated "We have started building your Tesla" message.

My car specs are:
S 90D with
Pear white multicoat
Sunroof
Next gen. seats
EAP
Premium upgrade
Smart Air
Subzero
High-amperage charger

Since we are all just waiting around, I wonder if anyone can share with me their design spec/order agreement regarding the EAP?

I initially ordered on 10/7 with (then) Autopilot Convenience Features, it shows up like this on the confirmation i received on 10/15:

After the announcement and my decision to upgrade to Enhanced Autopilot (without full self-driving), I got an updated version on 10/28 looks like this:

Obviously my sales rep and DS confirmed twice for me that my car will be built and delivered with AP2 hardware and EAP feature as I ordered, plus the $5000 i will pay for this feature, there's very little risk on what i get.

But i wonder for those of you who went through the same upgrade/modification process as I did from the Autopilot ($3k) to Enhanced Autopilot ($5k), what does your design spec/order/purchase agreement show?

I was wondering about this too.
Yes, my Design Spec also shows the exact same thing after EAP upgrade. Was hoping it would say "Enhanced Autopilot Features" but no luck! :p

Before the upgrade (between AP2 announcement and EAP upgrade), it said something like "Autopilot with AP1 hardware convenience features" or something along those lines.

Exactly... I save a copy before the upgrade took place and it looks like this:

So I am not the only one getting confused about this...

When I talked to my DS, he told me something about being consistent for the messaging and stuff but I didn't really understand what he was talking about and the bottom line was he didn't really want to or able to fix that. I guess the most confusing part of all is if you do this in design studio now and print the spec sheet, you will actually see this:

I know this is just nit picking, but really shouldn't take much to get it right either.

Oh well, thanks for sharing, i will totally shut up and go away as soon as i get my car with everything i ordered!:D

When was your car confirmed, gastowatts?

Copied from the "Model X November Deliveries" thread.....
8/28: Ordered MX60D, 5-seat, Coil
8/28-10/3: Growing Impatience
10/3: Changed to 7-seat, SAS
10/4: Assigned VIN 24XXX
10/4-10/19: Excited might get AP2
10/19-11/2: Dilemma whether to upgrade to EAP
11/2: Upgraded to EAP
DS thinks production might be complete around mid-Nov. No time estimate in MyTesla.

11/9: In Production

Can you tell me where I can check the delivery estimate on MyTesla site? I have asked my DS for a Dec 28th delivery, but I don't see any delivery related estimates on the site. I have insurance and financing tasks pending, would that prevent me from seeing a delivery estimate?

My delivery estimate is shown just below the VIN. Pending tasks shouldn't affect the estimate.

Here is the a screenshot estimate on My Tesla. When I ordered the car months previously, I specifically asked for the car in early November, so I panicked a little when I saw a potential delivery up to December on My Tesla. I contacted my DS who claimed he had access to slightly more accurate delivery-window information on his end, and he reassured me that production and delivery would happen in November. I took his word over the info. in My Tesla, and so far, he's been right.
