@krazineurons

You should have seen it on your "My Tesla Dashboard" as shown in @randycandy screenshot. For example, I am waiting in the production queue (hopefully not for long) just like you and on my dashboard, it looks like this and the estimate delivery window is shown between the VIN and design spec:

You should also be able to find the same information under the pick up section to the right hand side in a later/lower section of the page:

If this is not what your dashboard looks like, you might want to contact your delivery specialist or sales rep.

You could also find additional information in this thread: Model S Delivery Update ,specifically regarding the estimate delivery date provided as part of the Proforma as pointed out by @DarylS2001

DarylS2001, Monday at 4:36 PM Got an updated Proforma - says estimated date of delivery 12/22/16. Stoked. :D

You can read more to find out what it is and how to get it and decide if that's something you like to try as well.

Hope that helps.

As Elon has repeatedly said, just one unique part can hold up a car from completion. It is entirely possible that there are still adjustments being made to the supply chain for AP2. I am not saying that is comforting, but it is not surprising, if true, either.

My full-AP2 P100DL was ordered on Oct. 20, is still not in production, and is still showing Dec / Early Jan delivery (to Vancouver).

@randycandy @Corsair66 has your tesla already started to be built? mine is still in production queue, perhaps that is why I don't see it.

My AP2.0 S90D is still in the queue with delivery shown in My Tesla as 'Late December - January'. A phone call to the sales line yesterday elicited an assurance that a mid-December delivery was most likely and, though a build date was in the system, they wouldn't share that date with me.

Here is an excerpt of an email I just received from my DS.

Hope you had a great weekend! Your Model S has arrived over the weekend along with a few others. They are being made ready for delivery however the factory has given us strict guidelines that new firmware has to be installed on all cars prior to us releasing them. With that being said, we are waiting on the firmware update to be released from headquarters. Right now they have not provided us with any specific day, however I do not expect it to be too long. I will update you tomorrow with a more firm update in hopes of getting you behind the wheel here very soon! I would love to have you scheduled for Wednesday, however I want to avoid over-committing until I have a firm answer on timing on my end.

Will let you know when they release my Model S for Delivery.

I am curious to find out the details of this firmware. Given the new hardware, obviously parts of the backend must be a total rewrite, while the frontend is likely to be the same. Was it forked, and if so from v7 or v8? Will shadow validation begin immediately, or is the Nvidia chip going to sit dormant while more data is collected?

Just saw the first AP2 model S the palo alto store got. Beautiful white interior with the premium seats. Interior felt really high end compared to my P85 and other next gen seat cars.

There were no settings for driver assistance. Looked just like my pre autopilot car from a controls->settings point. This is to be expected as they arent active yet, but was interesting to me. The cameras are really subtle. Good job hiding them.

Over the last 4 years there have been dozens of changes to the interior. This was my first time seeing a brand new Model S with premium seats and the white interior. Overall effect is great. Nothing specific to AP2 AFAIK. Point was the new cars are a nice step above my nealy 4 yr old P85 -- the same basic design is still there but the details have been refined.

I received another message from my DS. He said all updates are complete and the car should be ready for delivery by Thursday of this week. However, the bad news is I won't receive the tittle for my trade in from the bank till next week. Will post photos once I get my new baby.
