AWD delivery thread

My finance and trade in buttons became active this morning as well.... 3-31-16 reservation, 6.26.18 order- LR AWD, Blue, 18s and EAP- in NC.

Further update- finance offer already came back (3.59% for 72 months from Chase, so pretty crap- waiting on replies from others) and I submitted the trade in info-

No VIN though (still shows RN in MVPA and on website)

Then this evening I get an email from my delivery adviser.

Who tells me the car is on its way from Freemont to the southeast regional hub in Alabama- and that I should NOT submit my trade in info yet so it doesn't expire before the car arrives.

Mind you- too late.

Also when I do submit it, send the title NOT the registration for one of the items on the trade in page which explicitly instructs you it's ok to send either.

Emailed him back telling him that happened, attaching a copy of my title, and asking for a VIN, no word yet.

Did your delivery fall through, or did you just get pushed back for changing configuration?

Both. I tried changing configuration after a RWD VIN was assigned but couldn't due to them saying I'd lose my deposit. When my RWD delivery fell through (8/8), I used the opportunity to refuse delivery and ask to upgrade to a Performance where they were happy to do the upgrade for me without any fees....

Don't they call?

The VIN could show up on the website before the call. So yes, they will call, but its kinda like watching the delivery truck coming down the street. You know they're going to ring the bell, but you want to know exactly when you can expect it :D. Can you tell I'm excited?

Contacted an hour ago by my inside delivery specialist. I had a couple of changes for her and she replied back and should have me a VIN by tomorrow.

Location: Portland, OR

I received a get ready for my model 3 email, but it said to hold off on financing because it'll only last 30 days. Does it mean they're almost through all the reservations?

Ordered 7/13
Non-owner/reservation.
AWD, Aero, MSM, back interior
I live 15mins from the factory

Non-employee.
Put in rezzo in 2016.
Got request for configuration Feb 2018.
Delayed configuration until Aug 4th 2018 (missed the $1K lower price by 2 days!)
VIN Aug 9th
Delivery Aug 19th (2weeks, 1 day from config to Delivery).

Deliveries seem to be moving very fast...as is my Blue AWD!

Be sure to copy the URL and change the RN number first. Actually clicking the link takes me to the manage page as well. As Runt8 says, if you do not have a VIN you should end up at the configurator (as I do unfortunately).

While I believe that this might be true, I configured AWD with 19" wheels on 8/1 with no reservation....so I'm not expecting delivery anytime soon. When I copy that link and replace it with my RN, it goes straight to my Model 3 overview, not the configurator (it used to go to the design page). I do have "Prepare for Delivery" checked, but I'd be surprised if I have a VIN when so many people are waiting ahead of me in line for AWD and 19" rims.

Reserved 4/1/2016, configured AWD non-P 6/27/18. Today for the first time my screen changed significantly - now it allowed me to fill in a credit application. I assume contact is imminent!

Yes - got the email just now! "your Model 3 is finishing with production and we are ready to start completing your Tesla Account information for contracts!".

Now madly completing trade and financing... found a relative interested in our Mini so may be no trade, and will probably do a Lightspeed loan.

...they had to take payment 14 days in advance because I was buying in OK but taking delivery in TX. They do not have a delivery location in OK, so I would have to opt for home delivery if I wanted that. But, it was faster if I took DFW delivery (it would go to DFW anyways they said before shipping to OKC area).

Ahh, that makes perfect sense now. I'm just planning to show up with a cashier's check on delivery day. Buying in Texas does make things a bit tougher (speaking as an ex-resident of Austin).

Is there anything else we can ask a phone rep aside from whether there's a VIN? After a looooooong wait, all I got was that there's no VIN, but everything else seems to be in order, so just keep waiting...
Same here. With the addition of: Nobody else is really taking delivery. You can't believe what you read on the internet. Your order is moving along fine. Though we really don't know where it is.

Our Blue AWD Model 3 was delivered here to the house this morning. Everything looks good and checked out on inspection and the first couple of drives. Wahooo!
Ah. So the blue paint booth *is* apparently working.

I received a get ready for my model 3 email, but it said to hold off on financing because it'll only last 30 days. Does it mean they're almost through all the reservations?

If they're almost through with the reservations, and this pre-reveal, line-standing reservation holder has ZERO information about his AWD order that was placed the moment it was available, then I guess I'm last.

Deliveries seem to be moving very fast...as is my Blue AWD!
Fast for those who are getting them... who did not wait in line 2.5 years ago... Yeah. :sigh:
Two hour RT drive. Two hours standing in line in a parking lot.
No car.

Called Tesla today for an new info and they gave the VIN and said the car is ready for transport. Should know delivery date in a day or two but probably 2-4 weeks. Vin 66xxx. Midnight Silver metallic, AWD, black premium interior, Aeros, FSD. 3/31 pre reveal online preorder and ordered on 6/28. Michigan home delivery.

The customer service agent was excellent. Best I’ve dealt with over the phone. She was super excited about the car.
